HI ALL SUNDAY MORNING MEMBERS
This Sunday 30th March, in between the classes at about 9.45am, your fellow Obedience club members who are at competition level will be holding a demo of the 4 levels in which they compete.
We hope you will all be there to see what you can aspire to. 🏆
We hope that throughout the year we will have demonstrations of all the sports in which we train so you can see all the possibilities open to you and your dog in action. 🐾

These Sundays are the 4th and 5th Sundays in March

Classes to be held on the First, Second and Third Sundays of the month (subject to weather and instructor availability).

Starters Agility will now start at 11am on Sunday Mornings.

There is a night trial at Southern Districts Club on the 29/3 anyone is welcome to come along and watch.

I have had requested for new members to start in Starters Agility, unfortunately we have our full quota of dogs.
I have started a waiting list and when we have handlers moving on to Monday nights for training, I will notify you.

Beginners Scent Work is on tonight.
Our class is full so unfortunately we cannot take any more keen sniffers.

We will look to take more beginners in the second half of the year.

Congratulations to the Scent Work Team on another successful trial held last night.

Last night it was Masters Exterior & Excellent Interior. It was a little warm but lucky the temperature cooled down enough for us to continue to hold our trial.

Whilst there were unfortunately no passes for our Noarlunga members there were some really close results.

Sincere thanks to the Onkaparinga Rugby club for hosting us & to our amazing Judges Sharon & Julia, stewards, helpers & our SACA Rep.

This Sunday is enrolment day for Starters/ Puppies for agility, it will be held under the veranda at 10.30. You need to be enrolled as a member of our club, if not we can sign you up on Sunday, please bring your vaccination certificate, fees listed on our website.
You need to have some obedience training.
No need to bring your dog with you this Sunday it will be an introduction talk.
If you are at the club doing obedience and wish to come, that’s fine. You are welcome with your dog.
Classes will start Sunday 2nd March.

Intermediate Class Training Exercise. Today in Intermediate Class we did a 2 Step Forwards, 2 Steps Back Recall, but quite a number of Handlers seemed to have difficulty understanding my “imaginary dog” demonstration. So here’s a visual demonstration with a real dog - hope this helps 😀. Take Two Steps Forward - Call Your Dog - Take Two Steps Back. Use Dog’s Name - Come - Then Sit (optional) and Praise/Treat *You don’t need to count out loud, I’m just doing that for the video *If you are thinking of doing Obedience or Rally, have your dog on your Left side, and step off on your Left foot. If you are not thinking of doing Obedience or Rally, it really doesn’t matter which side your dog is, or which foot you step off on. Happy Training 😀 Kate - Head Instructor.

Classes may be on hold due to COVID Lockdown, but that doesn’t mean no training! Here’s a fun training game you can do in a small space that will improve your dog’s focus and engagement - you don’t need treats, just use your dog’s regular food and spend a few minutes feeding your dog their meal by hand as they stand next to you. Then add our “One Step Heel” exercise. Yes, you really can teach your dog to walk next to you, without actually having to move! 😲 Give it a try, post your pics or videos, or ask any questions.
