Show your support here guys! Please stop this attack on IGP.

IGP Dog Sport is not attack dog training.

26/05/2024

Regarding IGP in South Australia, at no time within any activity, by any members and participants I've come into contact with during my time at the ASDC did I ever see anyone behave inappropriately nor in a way that would endanger a person's safety. IGP is more than a sport, it's a discipline and a test of both man and dog.
Passionate dog owners and trainers pushing themselves and their dogs in the pursuit of perfection within the discipline. I've never seen an attack dog at the club. IGP makes a very clear distinction between attacking a person with the intent to harm and biting a prey item usually a large cylindrical bite sleeve.

Having been in the ADF and having trained dogs to attack and wound opposition forces we deliberately ask the dog to look beyond the prey item and attack vulnerable areas of the human body. This is very very different from IGP.

Please support your local IGP clubs either with an affiliate membership through the petitions that have been set up and with encouragement for those passionate individuals and dog teams who poor their heart and souls into making themselves informed and knowledgeable dog trainers.

Take care and God bless you all!

Pink Collar - Female - 2.3kgs
Dark Green Collar - Female - 3.0kgs

Purple Boy and my wife Sunny during the weigh and worming to kick of week 6. We have been meaning to take some more photos but we have had rain and high humidity! No matter how many chicken frames we put out there, they all want the same one! Lol this week saw exposure to Roo, Chicken, Duck, Turkey and Salmon as part of their diet. Prey drive stimulation and noise stimuli. We up the anti with whip cracking to simulate fireworks or gunfire, further prey stimulation, inside the home discovery.

Next week is the all important health check, microchips and vaccinations. We will also conduct a full assessment on the litter and select homes for the dogs based on criteria each owner has provided.

Puppies are eatting well. Turkey was the meal and they love it! Eggs too! They are adventuring and exploring. Light Blue and pink received additional worming as we can't explain the low weight increase but the both are very active! Maybe more so than the other pups. They are biting the rag now and me! Especially me lol My toes are now puppy fodder if I'm not wearing shoes. They come in and out of the house well. And are being conditioned for maintenance from your vet or yourself for inspection. They are comfortable with a variety of food types. All girls are now sold!
