🐾 A gorgeous 15 minute morning session at the river with Sue and her two 5 Month old Boxers Billy & Alfie! ✨

Susan drove all the way to QLD with her husband last year to pick up Billy the Boxer!

What she didn't know at the time is that she would also fall in love with Alfie and ended up taking them BOTH home!

Billy & Alfie had an absolute ball staying up at the river and spent most of their days romping around with each other and getting up to a LOT of mischief!

Poor Alfie got stung by a wasp a couple days before and welted up like crazy!
He had some meds at the vet and soon his puffy little face went back down just in time for his photo session! 🥰

We had a fantastic start to our reshoot on Mount Osmond, capturing some truly beautiful moments of Melissa and her adorable fur family.

Later, we were greeted by strong winds and an overcast sky once again—but that didn’t stop us from making magic! 🌬️📸

✨A gorgeous sneak peek for Margaret of Daisy the 7yo Boxer. ✨

Margaret says "daisy's favourite colour is pink! She even had pink bandages when she was at the vet."

Daisy was such a sweet soul, and although she was a bit anxious being in a new place, you could tell that having her mum there made her feel safe. They have such a beautiful bond and I could tell how much Daisy meant to Margaret. 🐾🥰

🌲We had our session at the Magic Forest in Minkarra park, Happy Valley. Great for nervous dogs or dogs who like to be left alone. 🌲

A super adorable sneak peek for Maddi & Lauren of Rosie the almost 1yo Moodle and Lou Lou the 12 yo Cavoodle.

Maddi says "Lauren got Lou Lou when she was about 8 months old, she was originally her sister's dog but she didn't want to anymore. I met Lou Lou when Lauren and I started dating and it was love at first sight, Lou Lou was obsessed.

Lauren and I wanted to get a little sister for Lou Lou, she seemed lonely, so we found a lovely breeder and first met Rosie at 3 weeks, again at 5 weeks and then had a sleepover the week before we brought her home for good. Rosie was obsessed with Lou Lou from the very beginning but it took Lou Lou a while to really warm up to her but now they play together, argue like siblings and keep their mums very entertained by their antics!!

Lou Lou can seem aggressive when she's playing with Rosie. There was one night they were outside playing and Lou Lou slammed Rosie against the back door.

We waited to see how Rosie would react, and as soon as Lou Lou turned her back, Rosie pounced on Lou Lou's back so she'd do it again! This ended up being a regular thing for them after dinner. Now they just fight over the same toys, Rosie seems to love being dragged around by Lou Lou who's only focus is getting the toy back." 🐾

A sneak peek for Bruno & Emily of Luna the 4yo Kelpie X 🐕

Bruno says "We adopted Luna when she was 10 months old back when we lived in Perth, WA.

Luna hadn't been socialised at all with other dogs when we got her. She was extremelly dog reactive, but we engaged with trainers who assured us she was just very eager to make dog friends. We put a lot of effort in training and desensitizing her and now she's the most social and friendly dog!" 🐾

I’m incredibly grateful to still have my boy with me as he approaches 13, but I’ve experienced the heartbreak of losing pets during my childhood—it’s a pain that stays with you. 💔

I know many of my clients have also faced the devastating loss of their beloved furkids, some far too soon, and I’ve seen firsthand the deep pain it causes.

Our pets are more than just companions—they are family, through and through. 🐾

Is society too dismissive of pet loss?

Has anyone ever dismissed your feelings when you have lost a pet? Do you feel a lot of people don't fully understand how painful and overwhelming losing a pet can be?

I so clearly remember every detail about each of the days that my four beautiful pets crossed the Rainbow ( in the photo) - Toby, Milly, Mr Fox and Riley- and the pain and heartache that followed was truly horrendous.

I feel that there has definitely been a shift over the past 10 years or so but we have a long way to go. Pet loss is definitely being talked about more and I think that is one big positive of social media as it allows us to find like minded people who understand the deep bonds we often share with our pets. More and more podcasts are discussing pet loss and the human pet bond too.

Pet loss is a profound and valid grief and the more we discuss the impact of losing a pet, the quicker we will see a shift in society.

Last year, I had the absolute delight of photographing Winston, the stunning Maine C**n! 🐱

I first laid eyes on Winston while delivering prints to my client Sarah of her lovely dog, Max. As I was chatting with Sarah and her daughter, Penny (Winston's mum), I caught a glimpse of what I thought was a *huge white dog* strolling through the kitchen. Naturally, I had to stop mid-conversation—only to realize it wasn’t a dog at all…it was Winston!

Winston is, without a doubt, the largest cat I’ve ever encountered, and these photos can’t even begin to capture the true scale of his size in real life!

Was your pup Naughty or Nice this Christmas?? 🌲🐕

A super special sneak peek for Kate of Ryker the 6mo Golden Retriever.

Kate says "I have always wanted my own dog, but my long term partner didn’t like dogs. After breaking up, I decided I was finally going to get my “freedom” dog, and found an ad from Ryker’s groomers.

Ryker was both the excited and the quiet puppy amongst his siblings, it was when his siblings laid all over him for sleep that I decided he was the one for me.

I never expected to have such a naughty puppy. I’ve had to remove my dining chairs and all of my board games from his reach after he managed to chew a decent portion of them up.

I’ve had so many scratches and bite marks from him since getting him (he has given dinosaurs a run for their money), I’m scared to set up my Christmas tree, I’ve got holes in my yard that he’s dug, but he is the completion to my life. Having him rest between my legs or seeing him carrying a stick twice the size of him on our walks makes the naughtiness worth it." 🥰

🐾 A sneak peek for Jess & John of Kelda the 5yo Kelpie 🐾 🐕

Although Kelda was running at 60kmph for about 90% of the session we still captured some stunning portraits like this one!

Jess says "Kel is pretty bossy and thinks we go to bed too late and should go when she feels it’s time. She also loves her daily biscuit from bohemian beans and now thinks all takeaway coffees magically have biscuits on top. Maybe if she stares long enough it will appear!"
