With limited breeding and showing Shokuma Akitas have been South Australia's top Akita Kennel for many years. In over 24 years we have bred and/or owned 40+ Champions, 4 Grand Champions & 2 Supreme Champions, an achievement unrivalled by any past or present SA breeder. All of our Titles have been achieved at contested shows. Our dogs are bred from imported bloodlines, mainly from the UK and in par

I am so proud of these two young dogs, Xander only just turning 6 months and Ebonie 10 months. Their first royal and first indoor shows and both of them were lapping up all the attention throughout the days.

We cannot thank the team at Only Domestics enough for the great service provided for the transportation of 3 of our puppies in the last couple of weeks.
100% recommend for all our pet travel needs :)

*UPDATE she has found her forever home*

We have this cuddly little cutie, we call Gidget, still looking for her forever home. (She is a long coat)
If you have previously emailed me but not recieved a response, I do apologise and I may have missed it. She is 10 weeks old and had had her second vaccination. She will be on limited register and a desexing contract.

Brynner had a hard day at the show today. Dodging the Frenchie,(didn't step on her once) and then the serious business of showing off - at the dog show.

Some of you may know me as the show handler of our beautiful Akitas.
I would like to reintroduce myself now as co-owner and breeder at Shokuma with David & Wendy.

I have 20+ years experience in the dog world, I started showing dogs when I was 7!
And now 10+ years working with Shokuma Akitas.
