With kitten season in full swing please think before taking on a "free kitten" please adopt from a local rescue who work diligently to try and help all the kittens and cats in need. Adoption fees include all vet work such as desexing, worming, and their microchip significantly cheaper than if you were to get it done yourself. That adoption fee then goes directly to help other cats and kittens in need. There is no such thing as a "free" animal. The volunteers that run and foster in these rescues use their own time to care for these animals and often money out their own pockets. It is time consuming, mentally and physically draining and often heartbreaking when they can't save the sick ones. Free kittens often create MORE free kittens and the cycle continues. If you have kittens and are unable to get them into a rescue please,please consider getting them desexed before rehoming. We work hand in hand with Lucky Little Paws Rescue and Adoption who are always looking for foster carers to help with kittens and cats.
The situation with the increasing cat population is not a cat problem......it's a people problem.

Are you heading out for some New Year's celebrations?
Please consider your pets and their safety before leaving the house. The noise from fireworks and the hustle of a busy evening can be stressful and even frightening for them. Make sure they are in a quiet, secure space with familiar comforts, like their bed or favorite toys. If possible, leave them with a trusted friend or pet sitter who can provide extra attention. If you're leaving them alone, consider using calming music or pheromone diffusers to help soothe them
