Did you know that Charles Sturt has a Pet Desexing and Microchipping Program?

We offer financial assistance for our residents to help desex or microchip their dog or cat!

In South Australia, it’s compulsory for all dogs and cats to be:
☑️ Microchipped by 3 months of age or within 28 days of ownership
☑️ Desexed by 6 months of age, or within 28 days of ownership, if they are born after 1 July 2018

We have 7 local vets in the area who have partnered with us to offer this service - thanks to the teams at: Animal Desexing Clinic, Pet Doctor, Pooch N Purr Veterinary Clinic, Port Adelaide Veterinary Clinic, Port Road Vet Clinic, Torrens Road Vet Clinic, Semaphore Vet

Meet Charles Arthur and his mum, Jessica!

This time last year, Charles Arthur came to our rescue when a blood donor was urgently required for an emergency procedure that we performed.

Last week, he became our clinic hero once again when we needed another emergency blood transfusion.

We cannot thank Jessica enough for coming down to our clinic so quickly and for Charles Arthur’s continuous bravery and support to our hospital patients. 💙🐾

Today, we are excited to announce Semaphore Vet is celebrating 25 years in business.

On February 22, 1999, we opened our doors for the first time with a small team of three - Dr Bruce, Dr Alison and vet nurse Sarah.

Today we proudly acknowledge our team of 26 - vets, vet nurses and support staff working in our new purpose-built hospital.

Over the past quarter of a century, the clinic has grown in step with the needs of its clients and their pets, growing its workforce, the services it offers and the technology and expertise to treat them.

We would not be a thriving practice without the loyalty of our animal-loving clients and the dedication and expertise of our past and current staff.

Being part of the Semaphore community has allowed us to provide healthcare to generations of families and their companions.

Thank you to our clients and our adorable patients for supporting us over the past 25 years!
