B***r's been with us for a few weeks now without a single application 🥺 Are you looking for a sweet greyhound with a heart of gold? B***r's your man!

9-year old male Greyhound

B***r is such a loving boy with a gentle nature. He absolutely LOVES affection, and will happily lean on you all day so long as he's getting attention.

B***r isn't the most active dog, but let's be honest, what Greyhound is outside of their 10minute daily zoomie session?! Despite this, B***r has plenty of zest for life and he loves to chase toys, bringing them straight back to you ~most~ of the time 😅

B***r is dog-social but he prefers quieter company that won't knock him around too much. Being a Greyhound, small and fluffy animals are a bit too exciting for him to be around. 🐰

B***r is just the sweetest dog and - while his name can make recalling him in public a little bit awkward - we wouldn't change a thing about him. He deserves nothing but the most loving home.

Please note: B***r has not been green collared by GAP. This means that he will be required to wear a muzzle in public. New owner's are able to have him formally assessed by GAP 3-months after his adoption.

He is a de-sexed, micro chipped and vaccinated, i year old, Kelpie. He is an energetic dog who is strong on lead. He will need plenty of exercise and training.

Six years ago we had the absolute pleasure of meeting a beautiful Kelpie, Skipper who joined the Bonnie's Doghouse family. From her first stay we all fell in love with Skipper and enjoyed the many stays she had with us all those years ago.
It is therefore with a very heavy heart we heard that Skipper has recently crossed Rainbow Bridge 🌈
To her mum Tracy and family we send our love at this very sad time. We are so glad that you gave us the opportunity to get to know Skipper and have her become part of our family. Run free beautiful Skipper. I'm sure our Bonnie girl will look after you 💔💖

UMBER AND URSUS
Umber is a 3 1/2 year old, female Boxer cross. Ursus is a 2 year old, male German Shepherd. They are a bonded pair who need to be homed together. They are both de-sexed, micro chipped and vaccinated . They are not good with small animals.

Hi my name is Fella,

Yeah I might look like a big fella but I'm not, I'm a very sweet and teddy bear like dog.

I'm a border Collie x red heeler who use to be a working sheep dog, then enjoyed the family life with kids too.

Currently I live with two kelpies, chickens, birds and 2 humans who work full-time hours.

I would be okay on my own but I do like company (human or dog), even if you were a human who was home most of the time or a growing family.

I don't pull on lead, I'm good indoors, good outside, good recall, great at cafes and from what my foster mum says I'm the perfect pooch.

I can bark from time to time, but it's not often and I quickly stop. I'm a cuddly dog who wants all the attention and pats constantly.

I can be a bit nippy with excitable dogs but that's just the heeler in me, I won't hurt them I just herd excitable dogs.

Oh I guess one other thing, I'm approximately 10 years old but don't let that deter you I'm very young at heart. I run and play I don't show any signs of aging and I jump in and out of my foster dad's ute. Like they say age is just a number !

MEMORIES OF COOPER AND MIA 💖

It is with much sadness and a very heavy heart that I advise two of our long time regular guests have crossed rainbow bridge within a month of each other 😥🌈
Beautiful Cooper (Coops) and Mia (Mia Moo Moo) are now both chasing lots of balls and running free at Rainbow Bridge. They would have been met by their older brother Keats who passed several years ago (aged 19).
Cooper made it to the ripe age of 18 and Mia was 11. Both had the absolute best life with their mum and dad and younger fur brother Zane, who joined the family in 2017.
We first met Coops and Mia Moo Moo with mum Jaymie in 2014 when they had their first stay with us. We then had the absolute pleasure of looking after them on many occasions over the next five years and formed a very loving and close bond with them. Jake and Dale basically grew up with Coops and Mia and loved it when they came to stay, as did Greg who Mia especially loved to greet when he came home from work.
A few weeks ago I visited Jaymie for a cuppa to give her a hug on losing Cooper and to spend some time with Mia and Zane. Sadly Mia was not too good, almost blind BUT I know she recognised my voice when I walked in calling "Mia Moo Moo" as her tail was wagging and she seemed happy to hear my voice. That warmed my heart. Her legs were not too good but she made it to the kitchen and sat on her bed and I sat on the floor next to her giving her lots of pats and attention. In fact when I stopped patting her she let me know she wanted more 🥰
I was so sad to hear that Mia had also crossed Rainbow Bridge but I know she is now running around with Cooper and Keats pain free and chasing lots of balls.
Our love goes out to Jaymie, Brad and fur baby Zane at this very sad time. Cooper and Mia have left a hole in our hearts but they have also left us with the most amazing memories that we will cherish forever 💝

I can't believe how quick the month of October has gone 😲. Today is the last day of the Oceans to Outback challenge so I'll be going all out to walk as many kms today as I can.

It is that time of the year once again, while we all enjoy the sunshine as do snakes.

Most of the time you will not see the snake actually bite the animal majority of the time they either find the offending snake (usually with some teeth marks in it!) or just notice their pet acting unusually.

Unfortunately, dogs and cats are usually bitten around the head and legs, although the actual bite site is very rarely found.

What are the "usual" signs of a snake bite by a tiger or brown snake?

- Dilated (large) pupils
- Sudden weakness followed by collapse
- Shaking or twitching of the muscles
- Drooling/vomiting
- Breathing may become shallow and very fast
- Blood in urine or vomit

If your pet displays any of these signs or you have seen them playing with a snake it is very important that you seek veterinary attention immediately.

According to the AEC (Animal Emergency Centre)
"Close to 6,500 pets are bitten by snakes each year in Australia. Approximately two-thirds of
these animals received antivenom. When they had received the antivenom treatment 91% of cats and 75% of dogs survived, whereas 66% of cats and only 31% of dogs survived without antivenom."

Most importantly please stay as calm as possible and seek veterinary assistance.

Please ensure that you CALL a Veterinary Clinic as soon as possible.
