It seems there are some lazy people that use the grounds , indoor ,round yard , sand arena , yards , it is everyone's responsibility to pick up your horses manure . Its not only unsightly but makes dragging the indoor for our volunteers difficult that we need to clean up after people , please you know your horse has done a p**p , clean it up it's easy .

Thank you to Albany Horseworld for sponsoring AEC Combined training event . It was very popular and every one had a change doing 2 dressage tests and a show jump round . Well done to all our place getters . Looks like we may hold another one ,so keep your eye out for the flyer .

As from today the X COUNTRY is CLOSED in readiness for the APC ODE on the 2nd March , so please stay completely off the course . Get your entries to compete in this event , few new jumps on course .

Just a warning that we have reports of motor bikes on the grounds , and their evidence of bike tracks left behind . Please close all gates behind you when you enter the grounds . Thank you

The year is well underway, if you are using the grounds your membership needs to be renewed with your club of preference, or if you dont want to join one of the 5 user groups you can become a Friend of the AEC. Its time to renew.

Wow wee look at that perfect floor , Jill has washed and oiled the whole floor herself . Not sure what we would do without the hard working volunteer Jill Compton , this beautiful lady is in her 80s and look what she does for the AEC , if everyone could give 10% of what she does we would have an amazing facility .

What a great crowd at Tom Curtain last night , perfect night for some great entertainment . Over 700 tickets sold so the biggest crowd we have had at the AEC . APC did a great job with the sausage sizzle some good fund raising to kick off the year .

Guess who has arrived at the grounds ready for Friday nights show . Katherine Outback Experience is a show not to miss . Tickets still on sale gates open at 5pm . With nearly 600 tickets sold it's going to be an awesome crowd . With the weather going to be just perfect ,the show will be outside in the open air , so bring blankets,chairs and coats in case the cool night comes in . Parking will be through the float gate , and anyone with disabilities can park closer in the first gate . There will be pony club sausage sizzle and a coffee and icecreams van for refreshments . See you all there

Time to remove a bit of if excess rubbish laying around to start the new year off with a bang . The club rooms could do with a bit of love , windows ,excess leaves and sticks out front of clubrooms , sticks in yard area. Be nice to get a few members of your clubs together and put in an hour or two around the grounds to get it looking it's best .

The AEC is again hosting Katherine Outback Experience , need a little something for Christmas these tickets would be a great addition . I saw Tom at equitana and was a great snippet of his show ,fun for all the family . APC will be doing a sausage sizzle and the coffee /ice cream van will be there .

It’s Show time , how’s your measuring certificate , expired , or haven’t got one , AHA have measuring at there hack day on the 20th Oct , starting at 7.30 am to approx 10.30 am , when they think all are done they will pack up so don’t dilly dally . Those riders competing on the day will be given early preference ,present in a bridle , no rugs or bandages and bring your old certificate if you have one . Cost is $15 . This is the only measuring till next year so mark it on your calendar.
