🌟 Happy Vet Nurses’ Day! 🌟
Today, we celebrate the heart and soul of our clinics—our amazing veterinary nurses and receptionists! 🩺🐾
Each day, they go above and beyond to care for our patients, offering compassion, dedication and unwavering support for both our patients and the entire team. Here’s what our vets have to say about our incredible nursing and reception team:
🗣️‘I value our nurses working under high stress at times and keeping their calm. Trying to make the day flow even when we are short staffed. Always, always caring for the patients. Often dealing with clients under stressful circumstances. Without them, we would be done’
Dr. Chris Wolmarans
🗣️‘From the daily tasks to the after hours emergencies, your compassion and commitment make all the difference. We couldn’t do it without you, and we truly appreciate everything you do for the animals and the team’
Dr. Alice Edwards
🗣️‘I love sharing in your accomplishments with you, seeing the excitement as you rub a wriggling newborn puppy into life. I love the look of pride when you get a patient through a long and difficult anaesthesia safely, with perfect blood pressure, temperature and a smooth recovery. I love the way you support, encourage and celebrate each other’s milestones. And I appreciate the vital and integral role you play in the clinic every day, as you care for your patients, clients and vets.’
Dr. Nadine Miller
🗣️‘Hooray for nurses as we would not be able to do our jobs without them. I love how they help us and get ready for us and then clean up after us! I also love how they work as a team and no matter what the day throws at us, we work through it.’
Dr. Jane Bromwich
🗣️‘It is an absolute privilege to be surrounded every day by a team of nurses who not only have a fantastic range of skills to provide a high standard of care for our patients, but also have immeasurable compassion and dedication towards all pets in our care. Their unending support for each other, the vets, their patients and patient’s families makes the world of difference every day, and I am proud to work alongside every one of our nurses.’
Dr. Steph Reardon (Cochrane)
🗣️‘Thankyou for your compassion and empathy for our patients to ensure they have the best possible care. You’re the backbone of the practice, ensuring everything runs smoothly and efficiently, particularly in times of high stress, high workload and short staff.
I’m thankful to work alongside you all every day, you make FVC a better place and I truly would not be able to do the work I do without you all.’
Dr. Brigitte Murphy
🗣️‘Thank you for your compassion, hard work, and dedication for pets through this year. Without your assistance, it makes our work to treat all the pets of the land of Albury-Wodonga impossible.
Thanks for putting up with our crankiness, our frustration and for being steadfast with us when try to do the wrong thing and be brave enough to correct us.’
Dr. Leo Lee
🗣️‘Vet nurses are, in the eternal words of My Big Fat Greek Wedding ‘the neck that turns the head of the house’. Our friends who we laugh, cry, commiserate and celebrate with.’
Dr. Jess Russell (Kopp)
🗣️‘Thanks for everything that you do’
Dr. Mel Van de ven
To all our nurses and receptionists, thank you for everything you do. You are truly the heartbeat of our clinic, and we are incredibly grateful for your dedication. 💙
