Good Morning Tail Travellers! Why Choose Us?
Billi the English Shorthair kitten flew from Darwin to Gladstone this week. To make this possible, he flew from Darwin into Brisbane on Virgin arriving at 5:20 AM. Our team member collected Billi from that flight and whisked him over to Qantas for his connecting flight to Gladstone. This saved Billi's Mum the cost of an overnight and an additional flight. Morning Tail Travellers - size really does matter!
Weasley "Fatso" the ginger ninja arrived safely in Perth this week. If he was any bigger he would have been denied his flight because he would have needed a larger crate. It is important to know your pet's weight and measurements when freighting them. A crate that is too small or too large will prevent your pet from being loaded, as can a crate that is not airline-approved. Please weigh and measure your pets as accurately as possible so we can ensure they are in a crate that is perfect for them. Comfortable travels! Your Tail Travel Team

Thank you for your patience as we continue to conduct business whilst affected by cyclone Alfred. Our head office is based in Alice Springs, but our administration and booking team work remotely out of Toowoomba, QLD between 9AM and 5PM, Monday to Friday. Communication networks both cellular and net- based are affected in the Toowoomba region, as is a reliable power supply. D is doing her best to work around these unfortunate outages. This chunky ginger ninja is Weasley. We have been trying to freight Weasley from Alice Springs to Perth but heat suppression rules have created some issues beyond our control. Weasley is headed to Perth to be reunited with his mum Morgane today. Safe flying "Fatso" as he is affectionately called. Please note, Tail Travel will never fat shame your animal without permission. Here is an update on gorgeous Teddy who we flew from Hobart to Melbourne last Sunday. Teddy's surgery went very well and while he was expected to fly home midweek, Teddy's recovery has taken a little longer so we are flying him back to Hobart today. He is the cutest poppet. Safe travels Teddy!

Good Afternoon TailTravellers!
As you may have guessed, tropical cyclone Alfred is creating some havoc with freight bookings and will continue to do so over the next few days. Please be patient as we reschedule your bookings for you. The safety of your animals is paramount. Speaking of which, gorgeous Walter the Kelpie was offloaded in Adelaide and unable to make his connecting flight to Alice Springs on Wednesday. This is where we step in to assist. Our Adelaide agent collected Walter, took him home, and is boarding him until Friday when he boards the next available Virgin flight to Alice. As you can see from the photos, Walter is having a hard time adapting to his new digs!

Meet Walter, an absolutely gorgeous five-year-old Kelpie. Walter is boarding with D in Toowoomba tonight. Early tomorrow, she will drive him to Brisbane Airport for his 6AM flight home to Alice Springs. Walter has been staying with his nan Wendy for the last 12 months and will be reunited with his mum Anna tomorrow. Walter's good looks are matched by his beautiful nature. D loves him!

Teddy is flying with Qantas from Hobart to Melbourne for a very important operation and returning to Hobart three days later. As you can imagine, Teddy needs vet clearance to ensure that he is well enough to travel before and after his surgery. We wish Teddy the safest travels and the speediest recovery. Hello to All Our Bird Loving Tail Travellers!
We love helping you with your avian transport needs. Like all animals, birds must be transported adhering to IATA conditions. They can travel in regular pet crates if the crates have been correctly adapted. Adaptations include mesh over all holes in the crate and over the door plus non-slip matting on the bottom of the crate for ground dwellers like doves and pigeons. A perch is needed for perching birds like parrots. Tail Travel can supply bird-ready crates for purchase or hire. We are always happy to help!

Good Morning Tail Travellers! If you've ever wondered whom you're dealing with when making your TT bookings then wonder no more. It's me (most of the time Mon-Fri, 9AM - 5PM), Danielle! I stepped out of the office recently for a pick-up from Gatton, QLD. My cargo was a baker's dozen pigeons, (chocolates, and tigers) from Grant McNettigan. These guys travelled beautifully all the way to their new home in Melbourne. Why am I holding a pigeon you ask? I had to transfer the birds from their holding crate into a modified travel crate for their flight. We pride ourselves on our animal care practices. I am now an official pigeon wrangler. Good Morning Tail Travellers! Meet happy-go-lucky Halo, a gorgeous English Staffy pup from Avril McCarroll at Paramount Bullies Australia in Sydney https://www.facebook.com/paramountbulliesaustralia. Halo flew from Sydney to Brisbane with Virgin, had a sleepover in Brisbane where she spent the evening tucked up next to Ainslie in bed, and then flew to Mount Isa with Qantas. A big Tail Travel journey for a little pup but she handled it perfectly!
