The Alice Springs Animal Shelter cares for animals who are currently homeless and/or have been abused or mistreated. We provide warm, dry, clean, safe shelter, food, love, medical attention and a place to call their own while they’re waiting to be adopted. Our objective is simple... to give voiceless animals in need a second chance at life! This page will ensure you stay up-to-date with a

nimals available for adoption. It allows you to share the albums of adoptable animals with your friends. It also lets you know when our fundraising events are on and other ways you can help us help the animals. Together we can help the voiceless animals get the second chance at life they deserve! If you're looking for a pet for life, pop out to the Alice Springs Animal Shelter on Len Kittle Road, we have hundreds of pets looking for their forever homes! Can you give one of these beautiful pre-loved pets the second chance at life that they deserve? So be sure to think long and hard about this decision before you commit. If you plan to travel extensively in the future, perhaps a dog will not suit your lifestyle, unless you are prepared to pay for pet care whilst you are away. If your backyard is not fully fenced, your dog is likely to escape, possibly get hit by a car or worse. If you have young children who are not to be trusted with animals, perhaps wait until they grow up and understand the responsibility more intricately. Be sure to select a pet for your lifestyle, if you are very active, an active dog requiring lots of walking is perfect, alternatively, if you are a sofa kind of person, a Border Collie requiring lots of exercise is not going to be a suitable match. Ask the shelter staff if you have any queries or concerns. We have so many deserving pets at the Alice Springs Animal Shelter on Len Kittle Road. Drop in and see who picks you as their new Mum or Dad! "Breeds, Ages and Names ... we do our best!"

We rarely have a reliable history of the animals that come to us. The suggested breeds & ages are stated in good faith and based on our experience. Similarly, most dogs arrive without a name tag so they're given temporary names. Feel free to choose a new name & see how quickly your pet adapts! We have had a fantastic amount of boarders but as great as it is.. we are full for the following months😊.
We are full for both dog and cat boarding in june/july
And fully Booked for dog boarding in December
And nearly full for cats in December

This heeler cross puppy is looking for his forever home! Such a sweet natured boy who just wants to be loved. He has been fostered for a week or so now and has been learning a lot, being crate trained and learning to walk on the lead.
If you are looking for a companion this guy is ready to go!

He has been looked after by our wonderful staff member so you know he’ll be the most amazing dog! Also I’m so sad that this staff member is moving out of Alice soon! What are we gonna do without her! ( I may just chain her to our fence so she can’t leave us🤔🤔🫢❤️.
