I don't know if any of you can relate but Leroy the big gentle lab is pretty dog reactive it can be exhausting.
I feel like I have let him down with sloppy training, half arsing lead work, his walking and all of his training in general .
I have used many training techniques with him and If I'm honest I didn't communicate any of it clearly to him .
He has never been able to run our property in fear of him legging it off after wildlife and not coming back .
We have been working everyday getting him out in public , working on walking to heel and re call under distractions.
Today he blew my mind off lead on our property .
We also walked past 4 dogs today without him completely loosing his mind.
It's how much time and effort and clarity you put into them.
I want to say thanks to @sarah.lufe.dog.trainer for giving me that kick up the arse I needed ! To be honest with myself and to stop treating my dog like a baby .
Why is it that all the things you already know and tell people how to do it becomes so hard to put into practice with your own dog?
Looking forward to seeing how he handles a class full of dogs Sunday .
