It's that time of year - more than 21,000 pet registration renewals have been sent out and are due for payment by April 10, 2023 πΎ
All dogs and cats over the age of three months must be registered with the City and microchipped. Registration fees go towards the Cityβs local law services that respond to wandering dogs, dog attacks, nuisance problems like barking dogs, cat trespass and un-owned animals.
Pet registration is a basic measure that can help ensure the pet is returned if it gets lost or escapes from a property.
If pets are unregistered, their owner may be liable for unnecessary pound fees if their unregistered pets are reported wandering and our City officers cannot return them directly to their homes.
If you no longer have a pet that was previously registered, please contact us so our records can be updated.
For payment options, please see your renewal notice.
