Some of you lovely people are aware for the past 12 months, after a 40 plus year hiatus I decided to get back into drawing and give acrylic painting another shot. My aim in part is to be able to do some pet portraits at some time in the future. So for now, enjoy my very first half decent painting of a gorilla. A in process Springer with another Springer sketched and waiting for painting to begin.

NEW ALBUM
If your wanting to buy rope by the meter, maybe have a go at making your own gear you can now get rope by the meter. I have mostly 6mm but there is a few colours available in 8 and 12mm too. If your wanting some hardware just let me know and I may be able to help out there too.
Listed here is all the colours and sizes I currently have on hand. If you just want to buy rope and have a go at making your own gear but only need small quantities then there may be something here for you. If your chasing hardware I may be able to help, just message. If your chasing 50m lengths or more your best going direct to makers.

Take a good look at this video. People need to stop putting dogs in these positions! This dog put up with this crap for so long, a credit to it. In the end the only way out was to do what it did. 0% blame on the dog 100% blame on the human.

βοΈ Stop expecting 3, 4, 5mo puppies to do extended βstaysβ;
β
β Consider that learning specific skills is far, far less important than developing a strong desire in your pup to work with you - itβs all about desire, motivation, and engagement;
β
βοΈ Avoid teaching your pup that any and all dogs it encounters are an opportunity for play;
β
β Understand that pups are just like toddlers - they have short attention spans and are all about βwhatβs in it for themβ;
β
βοΈ Know that just because your last dog did or didnβt do something, it has ZERO bearing on how your new pup should behave;
β
β Remember that itβs completely typical for pups to bite, chew, bark, growl and jump on you;
β
βοΈ Keep it clear in your mind that your old dog may help your pup learn some new routines (for better or worse) but she wonβt teach that pup how to βbehaveβ;
β
β Invest significant effort in making sure your pup spends plenty of time completely alone;
β
βοΈ Change your vet if they tell you to keep your dog inside until itβs had all itβs shots, and avoid purchasing from a breeder that suggests the same;
β
β Get your puppy out of the house to experience the wider world without your older dog to develop itβs self reliance and independence;
β
βοΈ Donβt give your pup all itβs food from a bowl - give it about 1/3 of its food in a bowl for free, and feed the remaining 2/3 as part of your training and development work;
β
β First assume that if your pup isnβt paying attention to you in the way you wish, then he considers you boring AF and/or your expectations are unrealistic.π‘ If you guys can remember this stuff youβll be much less likely to need my help later in life, and your dog has the best chance of developing to itβs full potential.

Michael Kamphius needs no introduction in the Australian IGP community. He has trained numerous IGP 3 dogs, he is a teacher helper, and he is also an accomplished judge. For the first time, Michael will be sharing his knowledge from a judges perspective. Michael will provide us with an in depth explanation of the rules for all three phases.

Daisy May is a Border Collie x Kelpie and has the sweetest character. She is not my dog but rather has been a dog training client and she comes and stays regularly with me and my German Shepherd. She was the inspiration for the name for the page and she will be putting her paw of approval on the products we make and/or supply.
There is a lot of dog gear on the market today and unfortunately a large proportion of it although cheap is badly made and just cannot stand up to the rigors of our Australian Bush. We are not interested in providing cheap nasty products that will break. We want the gear you buy for your dog to last. Your dog deserves that and your hip pocket will thank you.
It was a very long time ago that was playing around with knots and cording and back them the world of Macrame was really a thing and a lot of people were doing it. The products made from this knotting technique are sturdy and last for ever. So moving right along a few decades I have decided to take up knotting again only this time using Paracord. Now Paracord is a lightweight nylon kernmantle rope originally used in the suspension lines of parachutes so it is very strong indeed. We use the 550 or the Type III type Paracord. We will use other types of ropes for various products but will always ensure it is of the highest grade and have a high breaking strain.
We are also going to be making collars from a product Leatherite which is very similar to Bio-thane. It is a product that is widely used in the equine industry to make gear such as bridles, halters etc and so is very strong. We will most likely be incorporating Leatherite into the paracord collars by way of making some collars adjustable.
We aim to supply most gear that is hand made by us. However there are some products that are just to good not to have available for you and your dog. Of course we will only stock gear that is either of police, military or equine grade. We want the gear you buy to last!
Currently we are only just beginning our journey so hang in there as we expand our creations.
