He went out a grey and came back as a bay. But it’s always an easier job to wash a horse on a muddy day when he comes back from the winners stall

It was a heavy track and a wet day, but you couldn’t wipe the smiles of our faces. The more it rained the more confident we became.

Peterzano’s first win was on a heavy track and we knew if he could get a forward sit during the race, he would be right in it.

TEN YEARS ago today this bloke, our Dad was officially signed off as a Trainer and became (Grant) Kluske Racing... what a 10 it’s been; what a ride!
it’s hasn’t been easy at times and there’s been low’s BUT there’s been the most amazing of high’s; making the best racing family along the way.
Thank you to everyone thats supported Dad through out these ten years, know it hasn't gone unnoticed.
Congratulations Dad, we are very proud of you and look forward to contuining on the journey; that is far from done.
Trust me when I say the best is yet to come.

Morphettville on Saturday sees our two favourite girls hit the track for Kluske Bloodstock

Bonnie Gangster has trained on well from her first start for the prep and her second up form would suggest that she will be in the mix at the end of the race

The arithmetician finds a maiden race where she should track well into the race

Harry Potter is on both and with luck we should see both of them in the finish.

Daish Irrigation & Fodder Race Day Strathalbyn Racing Club it’s looking to be a great day.

It’s going to be a little bit more special because someone that we have all seen grow up from a little girl running around the stalls at the track to the thoughtful, caring and loveable women that we see today, takes the next step in her career on Sunday with her first day of race rides as a professional jockey.

We are so proud of you Brooke. We know you will always bleed black and blue 🖤 💙. But We also think you look fantastic in red and lilac ❤️ 💜.

The first step in what’s going to be a wonderful career and we are so proud to play a small part in your successful future

A bit of a Sophie Logan special on Easter Monday at Oakbank.

The drift on the tote was on because the punters didn’t like he had an inside barrier, with the track bias having all the horses coming down the outside the track to win.

The instructions were simple. Ride him how you want but make sure he head down the middle to the outside of the track down the hill.

Not known for his ability to lead, but Sophie binged the gates found the lead and worked off the fence to position him perfectly. 11/10 ride.

Colorado Bulldog is starting to see the penny drop and has started to work out what the race game is all about and we should see another improved run with him.

The ice cutter has been dropped back in distance and with a bit of luck should be in the finish

not the way we expected the day to end but we fully understand.. we wish Kelsey Hannan the very best on her recovery.

Racing is more than just a race and we fully support the decision of the jockeys, the stewards and the Strathalbyn Racing Club today.

As more details come to hand in regards to Friday's reschedule we'll let all our owners know.

Apparently Chiaro is a smooth and sweet coffee. This horse is everything but those two things; smooth and sweet.

You are stubborn, pig headed and tuff. But we wouldn’t have you any other way. You gave us every indication that you wanted a mile. But as we have learned with you in the short time we have had you. You will do it your way, so it was back to 1400m and that was the trick.

Potter took him to the lead from the wide gate, took off down the hill and was the bunny out in front. But what was the perfect ride, he won by .8 length on the line. 11/10 ride

Not sure if this is Work Expereince with Levi at the stable, the strapped telling the trainer what to do, or the master passing his knowledge onto his mini me. But we wouldn’t want it any other way. Just don’t ask them who is in charge because there’s two very different answers

Busy Weekend on the cards for Kluske Racing

We head to the Bridge on Saturday with Bonnie Gangster. She’s pulled up well from her run on the heavy track last week at Gawler

Then we head to Strathalbyn Racing Club for Bendigo Community Bank Fleurieu Family Race Day & Owners Appreciation Day on Sunday. We always love racing at home at Strath. Because everyone is guaranteed a great day out. Win, lose or draw it’s a fun day out. But we think we have a couple of great chances on over the weekend, so hopefully it’s a couple of places or wins over the weekend

Don’t dismiss

We see it but we don’t believe it!!!!

The old boy said hold my beer… I’ll show these younger horses how to run in the wet.

At his 100th start no one was going to rain on his parade.

MASSIVE call out and thanks to Stacey Metcalfe for a beautiful, peach of a ride in trying conditions. Your face was priceless when we said don’t lead at any cost 😂 Stacey did say 4 starts ago…. Find me a 2100m race with him and I will win. We didn’t know it was going to be city class !!!! But we are happy for you to say, I told you so!!!

And to Levi. On his first win as a strapper. We thought he was questioning his life choices as a strapper in the mounting yard before the race with the rain. But a win makes everything worth while

Both have trained on well from their wins last start. But with both having a step up in class they will need to both bring their A Game

Special mention to Don’t Dismiss that will have his 100th start in his career. 11 wins and 25 places and another 25 4th or 5th finishes in his career. He’s been a wonderful horse to train

We love seeing our owners trackside at Strathalbyn. It adds to the atmosphere of what makes our Club great.

On Sunday the 14th of January if you have your Digital ID app with your horse owner ID attached come for a day at the Strathalbyn Racing Club, even if your horse isn't running.

SLUG VANINETTI & DONT DISMISS TEAM UP TO WIN AT STRATHALBYN

How bloody good can horse racing be!!! we wanted to back Don’t Dimiss up after Friday last week because the race was named after a great mate Slug Vaninetti who helped build a lot of the horse structures at the farm and sadly passed away late November.

He has been a wonderful supporter of racing with many of his horses he owned with local trainers including us, the late Mick Whittle, the late Barry Dunn and Dion Koch.

Coming around the corner he was stuck on the fence one back and needed a bit of luck because he was stuck on the fence. Slug from above said ‘hold my beer, I’ve got this’ and the gap came and Stacey did the rest. And at start 99 Don’t Dismiss secures win number 11 with a bit of divine intervention from Slug and some hard riding by Stacey.

The roars of the crowd when he found the gap and the hit the lead, shows how much the win meant for many people on the track. With many of owners not just knowing Slug but classing him as a good mate.

This is why horse racing is so good, because it’s allows these stories to happen. Was a great to share this moment with Stephens extended family and have it done Slugs way - celebrating a win over a cold beer.

She’s showed glimpses of putting in a great run and the market agreed with her being backed into favourite before the jump.

Today in the small field they stacked them up along the back straight and with the slow speed everything went against her. But Potter was quick to get on his bike coming into the straight and what we know is that Bonnie is always up for a fight and found the line well.
