Situated in the rural town of Ashbourne, Kluske Racing Stables can offer a tailored training program Grant has now taken the next step into horse training.

Grant Kluske is a third generation that has been involved in thoroughbred horse racing industry in South Australia. With his wealth of knowledge that he has obtained through out his life being around Thoroughbred horses Grant is excited at the official starting of Grant Kluske Racing Stables.

Today is one of our favourite race days of the year. Strathalbyn Racing Club Langhorne Creek Wine Region Vignerons Cup.

We have three chances on the day and looking forward to a great day of racing.

It’s great when a plan comes off and this one has been a couple of months in planning. Actually about 10 months in the making.

Michael Cornell and I had chats at the Port Lincoln races last year where we both agreed that she was a Adelaide city class horse. With the delay of the Port Lincoln season, the stars aligned to get her over to this side of the state.

We couldn’t have been happier when we got the phone call!!!!

Michael doing the pre training at home and then sending her to us in a wonderful condition to put on the finishing touches before her first start this prep.

The sky’s the limit for this little mare that might potentially see her head to the Strathalbyn Cup and then back for her home town cup at Port Lincoln. But what we know with this little horse, with her big heart and turn of foot, she will only need a sniff and she will be in it at the end.

Congrats to Brooke King - Jockey for the wonderful ride and Michael Cornell and Alison Lear for entrusting us with your little horse thats has a big heart and with a little side of attitude.

We are proud to announce that in the early hours of Monday (after our family stable day Sunday) our little pockets rocket (and a stable favourite) Atomic Lokade gave birth to a beautiful, strong, and BIG Rich Enuff C**t who's since been name Jarrah.

Both Mum and Foal are doing well and we are excited for what the future holds for Jarrah; if he is anything like his Mum and Uncle (Gold Spirit), he too will be a little pocket rocket ❤️💜

HE'S THE ONE THAT (originally) GOT AWAY, but now he's ours!

We are thrilled to have purchased Arc De Puissance a horse we unfortunately missed out on as a yearling (a half brother to Atomic Lokade who won 9 for the stable and a close relation to Gold Spirit) we knew we couldn't let this beautiful grey pass by. Arc de Puissance has won 2 races from 1000m to 1400m.

The question is, who doesn't like a grey? Well, here's your chance to buy into a lightly raced grey gelding.

We are proud to announce that Madam Kafoops gave birth to a lovely Barood filly at 11:30pm Monday night called Lillykins. She is everything we could have dreamed of and more.

The name Lillykins is quite significant as Madam herself was named after Mum, Ness (a nickname Great Gramps, Bruce called her) and Lillykins is named after the next generation in Lilly (again a nickname Pop, Grant gave her at a young age) and if she is anything like her namesake she'll be a fiery force to be reckoned with her competitive streak and fighting spirit.

On Wednesday we head down the hill to HQ at Morphettville Racecourse with Dexter Dream for mid week racing.

Dexter continues to improve with each race ride and with the small field we should see him get a great sit during the running and will hopefully see him thereabouts at the pointy end of the race.

Might have been the omen bet of the day, with the chilly wet conditions today at Gawler and Barossa Jockey Club. We also had a bit of hail last night at the farm just to give us a sign that Jimmy was going to be in with a chance today.

If you want to see a race that shows how far Brooke King - Jockey has come as a jockey this is the race!!! Winning the prior race from the front with Gold Spirit, she assessed the race and decided to back herself in to get cover and come out wide to get the chocolates!!!! What a way to for Brooke to raise the bat for her first 50 wins!!!

Two from two for the day and I think a stout followed up by a port is warranted tonight to warm up the toes and fingers after a great day of racing.
