Astrid went in Junior handlers today to help out her friend Sophie… she was specifically chosen because she can be umm ‘challenging’ to handle on the odd occasion 🤣 but that is how we learn. Sophie did a fantastic job trying to wrangle her, which was the purpose. I love that Sophie continues to challenge herself and improve. Sophie and Assy had a quick chat after they left the ring and just like that they were working as a team. Mission accomplished. Well done girls, but especially Sophie 👏🥰

What a weekend of dog showing. Thanks to Cairns Kennel Club and Cairns Ag Association for a wonderful set of shows.

So Rob wrangled all of the dogs on Friday at the Cairns Show while I was at work.
Assy was awarded Bitch Challenge
Yogi BOB
And Tyko was amazing and brought home a respectable ⭐️RU in Group⭐️ 🥰👏
From all accounts Yogi and Tyko were wonderful representations of thier breeds for the Cairns public and had much love all day. Assy slept in her crate because her mum was not there with her and she missed me 😔 Lol but she was quiet which was a bonus.
I arrived Saturday morning and Astrid was much louder from then on… possibly a little spoilt mummy’s girl but 🤷‍♀️
Yogurt only did 2/3 shows and was awarded 2 BOB
Assy performances beautifully for me but did not win anything special except my heart

BUT Tyko, my sister’s Standard Xoloitzcuintli was a star ⭐️⭐️
✅3 x BOB
✅2 x intermediate in group

⭐️⭐️2 x intermediate in Show⭐️⭐️

Plus, we didn’t think we would be announcing this news this weekend but we are…Tyko, at 2 1/2 years of age, can now be known as
🎉Grand Champion Folkvar Calavera🎉 (DQ pending of course). We are immensely proud of the effort Robyn has put into showing this boy and the challenges they have faced together. They are not done yet though. Still more hills to climb for this young dog. Congratulations Robyn and Tyko 👏👏👏 yea he got nuggies 💕🤣

Finally… just throwing it out there… picked up a lovely BIS with Kerrie Kidner’s special Schipperke boy Harry. I am very honoured to show him and blessed to be able to handle such a beautiful dog. Congratulations Kerrie. 👏👏

The sister v sister competition continues… not sure who came out on top this weekend but I will concede it to Tyko our favourite naked cousin 🤣🤣🤣 we at least provide some entertainment 💕

And a big thank you to Hayley for taking Yogi in for group 7 on Friday 🙏 and letting me help with your pack of Vallhunds. So much fun ⭐️Heather and Hayley 💕

Been a while and we have been doing our thing at shows but this weekend was very special. Atherton Tableland Kennel Club , our home club, celebrated our 50th Anniversary 🥰 we had a fabulous time celebrating with our friends and being part of the fun events we had planned. Apparently I am not allowed to lay on the ground next to Yogi in senior handlers but I had some strong support in the judges group to remain in the selections from the Yogi fan club (thank you Whyatt 😊) but unfortunately it was not enough 🤣🤣 it was so good to see the juniors judge the seniors and have all ages interact.
I got to ‘judge’ the junior handlers fun event and really enjoyed encouraging all of our beautiful young people to keep going in this hobby they love 💕
So many wonderful, well dressed people decked out in gold this weekend but Wendy thought outside the box and draped the ATKC table cloth around her as a cape and took the title of Best Dressed ⭐️… fly high ATKC 🥰🤣
When I said we had cake… we had a lot of cake 🤣 never been known to under cater 🤣
And I won the Bling Bling lead voucher in the raffle … woo hoo🎉

Oh and we showed our dogs 🐕 🐩

MOST IMPORTANTLY… thank you to my husband Scott and Rob’s partner Michael who ran our club canteen all weekend. Mike also picked up a judge from the airport and transported her up on Friday night. They don’t show dogs but they support us to show our dogs and we cannot be more grateful on weekends like this. There was much red wine purchased as payment🍷 🥰👏👏👏🙏

When you are still the ‘wrinkliest’, handsome snuggling boy that loves your mumma most and she says yes to a big bed sleepover, you make the most of the opportunity even though the fluffy one was there as well😊 interestingly, dad had vacated the bed for some reason lol

Absolutely glorious weekend of dog showing at the Thuringowa Kennel Club cluster of 3 shows this weekend. The weather was devine with cool but comfortable temperatures and a sunset that took the breath away. 🤩
The state of origin loser supplied the coffee and cake as per the verbal agreement 😂 victory made it taste even sweeter lol
Thank you to all our amazing friends who again reminded us of the support and good will we have for each other in the Far North.
Yogi bear did well with 3 BOB and 2 Junior in Group frillies ⭐️
Astrid showed her little butt off as usual and was back to her true spunky special self on Sunday. 3 BOB and 1 State bred in group.
Tyko had a tough start the the weekend but was back to his more usual self on Sunday and was awarded 3 BOB and 1 Intermediate in Group. ⭐️
A two week break now so we can gear up for the major FNQ circuit of show clusters during the school holiday break. But first, my kid comes home for a visit and I get to be a mum and Rob gets to do Aunty stuff 💕💕💕

Please see below for proof to Ross and John we were able to successfully secure our gazebo in their absence… but we don’t want to make a habit of it. 😂 ooh and it was done in the wind lol
A wonderful weekend with Terri And Gigs and we love the motel we stay in with the view of the ocean. Muffins from Terri, cake from Di and some great chats and laughs were had. Please note: I had to make my own entertainment while Rob and Terri ‘rested’. 📸 😂
Following from last weekend I handled a Doberman for the lovely Kerri K lol umm, let’s just say I am a really good reserve, if you really need someone, back up back up plan 😂 it was fun though and I love trying something new💕
The naked cousin was most successful this weekend with 3 BOB and a RUIG💕

We have a couple of weekends at home now and the puppies can run wild and free while I cuddle our old boys 💕

Sunshine, great company, beautiful dogs and a relaxed atmosphere this weekend at the Charters Towers Kennel Club shows. So many hard working people keeping our rural shows running. 🙏 we all commented it felt like we were on a holiday.
So proud of all our dogs this weekend who continue to bring us joy every single day 💕⭐️⭐️⭐️

Little mate, Yogi was awarded 3 BOB but no frilliez this weekend and that’s ok 🥰

Following on from his amazing results at the 3 CCKC shows, he kept on going. ⭐️⭐️⭐️
I am very grateful to everyone who was genuine in their support of our young boy… I will remember every kind word that has been said about him and the cheers that followed his wins. I miss showing his beautiful dad Ace, and I know the potential Yogi has thanks to the thoughtful and knowledgeable breeding behind him. The judges comments and feedback to me was extraordinary 🥰⭐️

Little Astrid had a good weekend as well and still blows me away when she is in the mindset to win. Today I let her have her head and she did not put a foot wrong. I cannot believe how much I love showing this little worker 💕 Sorry everyone, I know she is a bit needy when I am not around… bark, bark, bark 😳😂 thank you John and Bowie for stepping in to help with her when needed 🙏🙏

And Tyko was his usual calm and gentle self in the ring. He moved beautifully every single run and continues to make his mum look good 😂💕

Fun weekend with Team Diversity in Ayr for the Burdekin Kennel Club cluster of 4 shows. Including the first A20 in zone 3. Thanks to the club for their efforts and hospitality 🙏

Big weekend for our British gentleman, little Yogi has earned his final points to be known as ⭐️Australian Champion Bettabull Bear Necessitates (DQ pending)⭐️. He was a little trooper this weekend. He received 4 x BOB, 1 x Junior in group (very competitive class in Group 7 up here) so he was a very good boy.

Astrid my Swedish Girl was awarded 3 x RUOB and 1x BOB in the A20 show, 1 x State Bred in Group which she converted to a ⭐️⭐️State Bred in Show⭐️⭐️. She again showed to perfection and is a pleasure to be in the ring with every single time.

Yogi and Astrid also had fun in the Irish Brace Sweeps with a third place 😂🥰

Tyko, our naked Xolo cousin, continued to shine with 4 x BOB, 1 x Aus Bred in group, ⭐️1 RUIG⭐️and ⭐️⭐️1 BIG⭐️⭐️. He got chicken nuggets to share with his friends on the car ride home. Good boy.

Well done John and Bowie on your Breed wins. ⭐️ more importantly, John ( and Ross who was not with us this weekend) for always helping us old girls lift, carry and pack our gear. We really appreciate you both🙏🙏

We had great accomodation, a bit of fun with our friends and were witness to some amazing moments of sportsmanship as exhibitors helped each other out. Thanks Kim for wrangling the bulldog as I ran between rings and groups and Gail for holding the skippy for Rob and as she negotiated the Boston’s and the Xolo. Phew, she was busy 😂

I watched a beautiful moment in group 5 where a more experienced handler helped out with a new exhibit who was playing up for their owner and take that dog in against her own and show it to a win without hesitation. I am surrounded by examples of this type of sportsmanship every week, which is why we keep going in this hobby of out.

Was great to see our friend, Bron, if only briefly. 💕

Had such a wonderful Easter weekend at the combine 6 show cluster for Ingham and Cloncurry Kennel Clubs. Thank you to the committee members for your dedication to getting these shows up and running, greatly appreciated.

Aust Ch Miyggdrasil Celestial Aura - Astrid our sassy Swedish Vallhund was awarded 1x Best of Breed, 3 x bcc, 3 x RUOB, 2x Best State Bred in Group and finished it off with
⭐️2 x STATE BRED IN SHOW⭐️ under Ms J Whitney and Ms P Johansen. She loved being back in the ring with her brother Vin.

Finally to our naked cousin (standard Xolo) who Aust Ch Folkvar Calavera who was awarded 3 x BOB, 1 x Intermediate in Group and ⭐️RUNNER UP IN GROUP⭐️ under judge Mr C Woodrow. Sister v sister … we took photos for mum and dad 🤣 he is looking magnificent 💕 Rob got to run her favourite Skippy in as well 😊

To our Winnie The Pooh litter who are 4 years old today… HAPPY BIRTHDAY 🎉 we are so proud of the lives you all lead and the joy you have brought to your families. We know that your mumma Puddin is looking over you and making sure that you have no discipline whatsoever, she spoilt you all lol🥰 we miss her every day but we are so very grateful to her ❤️ to my Hunny bunny… happy heavenly birthday 🎁 I miss you more than I can ever explain to anyone but am so lucky to have know you were our crazy very own feisty tyrant. I was so proud of you baby girl. I would say hang out with your mother up there but we all know you two were foghtover the crown so just try to be a good girl instead 💕💕💕🎂 Cannot believe it has been 4 years since we had our own babies… time does not slow down 😊
