Our final weekend of shows for 2024… thank you to Prosperpine KC for everything this weekend always a wonderful way to end our year.

I am grateful…
🩷that I have health and can still show my dogs
🩷that I have my sister, my best friend, to share this hobby with
🩷that I show in the FNQ show fraternity where we are both fierce competitors but steadfast friends and genuine supporters
🩷for the breeders (Maranda and Heather) from my home state who have given me two beautiful examples of their respective breeds to campaign
🩷 for the people I have met through our connection with dogs across the whole of Australia including our latest collaboration with Kelly in WA who has 3 beautiful Ace babies to nurture
🩷for being able to enjoy my hobby for another year because there were people who put their hands up and volunteered for their clubs
🩷for my mum for looking after the old boys this weekend while both Scott and I were away
🩷my husband for supporting my crazy obsession
🩷for Team Diversity, looking forward to doing it all again in 2025

Summary of results this weekend with just Sassy the Swedish Vallhund and Tyko our Xolo cousin in for us. Of course little Bella our Staffordshire bestie brought Ross along as well 💕
⭐️Sassy 6 x Bitch h Challenge and 6x RU of Breed and 6 x State Bred in Group👏
⭐️ Tyko 6 x BOB, 3 X RU in Group and 1 Intermediate in group👏
⭐️Bella 6 x Neuter in Breed, 6 x Neuter in Group and 2 Neuter in Show and a Reserve Neuter in Show 👏
Finally, the Group 7 ladies pulled out all the stops and went in the Rainbow Show at the start of the weekend and won Best Dressed in Rainbow Show 🌈 🤣🤣🤣 I feel it was the conga line that pushed us to the front. Never take yourself too seriously I say 🤣
Yogi sat out with a sore eye but was there as our cheer squad. It was great to meet the 3 brand new exhibitors and their baby bulldogs. Looks like 2025 will be good for our breed growth😊

See you all in March… now to focus on all the things I have not given as much time to over the last 6 months as I should have, including our old boy Baccus and big boy Ace 🩷🩷

The atmosphere of the shows this weekend was second to none. Thank you to the small but mighty team at the Ingham Kennel Club for two sensational shows this weekend. We had time to treat ourselves to some seafood Saturday afternoon and watch the Storm and the Cowboys have wins 🏉👍 and the dogs got to have a well earned play with Dolphy… their favourite toy that only comes out at dog show motels lol.
Tyko and Robyn kept the team going this weekend with
⭐️Show 1 RUBIG⭐️ AND ⭐️ Show 2 BIG⭐️
Very proud of them both 👏👏⭐️
Yogi and Astrid were both BOB this weekend 👏 they were both wonderful for me although… Astrid ‘took’ Sophie in to Junior Handlers and tried to tell her what she should do. Very entertaining to all that were watching but kudos to Sophie who managed to let Astrid know who was actually in charge. I love that Sophie continues to test and build her skills. Very proud of them both. 🤣💕💕💕 We do not call her Sassy for nothing🥰🤣
Rob and I ran our favourite Schipperkes in again and Rob ran in a staffy to a BOB on Sunday… she still has the magic staffy touch 💕
Highlight of the weekend though was John and Bowie in their first run in… absolutely the cutest thing watching that big boy put all his loveable moves into action in the ring😊💕
A memorable weekend indeed 💕 Two week break and then our very last shows of the year. Farewell to our little mate Gigs, you will always be part of Team Diversity. Have loved every minute sharing a ring with you 😎

Astrid went in Junior handlers today to help out her friend Sophie… she was specifically chosen because she can be umm ‘challenging’ to handle on the odd occasion 🤣 but that is how we learn. Sophie did a fantastic job trying to wrangle her, which was the purpose. I love that Sophie continues to challenge herself and improve. Sophie and Assy had a quick chat after they left the ring and just like that they were working as a team. Mission accomplished. Well done girls, but especially Sophie 👏🥰

What a weekend of dog showing. Thanks to Cairns Kennel Club and Cairns Ag Association for a wonderful set of shows.

So Rob wrangled all of the dogs on Friday at the Cairns Show while I was at work.
Assy was awarded Bitch Challenge
Yogi BOB
And Tyko was amazing and brought home a respectable ⭐️RU in Group⭐️ 🥰👏
From all accounts Yogi and Tyko were wonderful representations of thier breeds for the Cairns public and had much love all day. Assy slept in her crate because her mum was not there with her and she missed me 😔 Lol but she was quiet which was a bonus.
I arrived Saturday morning and Astrid was much louder from then on… possibly a little spoilt mummy’s girl but 🤷‍♀️
Yogurt only did 2/3 shows and was awarded 2 BOB
Assy performances beautifully for me but did not win anything special except my heart

BUT Tyko, my sister’s Standard Xoloitzcuintli was a star ⭐️⭐️
✅3 x BOB
✅2 x intermediate in group

⭐️⭐️2 x intermediate in Show⭐️⭐️
⭐️⭐️⭐️RU in Show ⭐️⭐️⭐️ show 1

Plus, we didn’t think we would be announcing this news this weekend but we are…Tyko, at 2 1/2 years of age, can now be known as
🎉Grand Champion Folkvar Calavera🎉 (DQ pending of course). We are immensely proud of the effort Robyn has put into showing this boy and the challenges they have faced together. They are not done yet though. Still more hills to climb for this young dog. Congratulations Robyn and Tyko 👏👏👏 yea he got nuggies 💕🤣

Finally… just throwing it out there… picked up a lovely BIS with Kerrie Kidner’s special Schipperke boy Harry. I am very honoured to show him and blessed to be able to handle such a beautiful dog. Congratulations Kerrie. 👏👏

The sister v sister competition continues… not sure who came out on top this weekend but I will concede it to Tyko our favourite naked cousin 🤣🤣🤣 we at least provide some entertainment 💕

Been a while and we have been doing our thing at shows but this weekend was very special. Atherton Tableland Kennel Club , our home club, celebrated our 50th Anniversary 🥰 we had a fabulous time celebrating with our friends and being part of the fun events we had planned. Apparently I am not allowed to lay on the ground next to Yogi in senior handlers but I had some strong support in the judges group to remain in the selections from the Yogi fan club (thank you Whyatt 😊) but unfortunately it was not enough 🤣🤣 it was so good to see the juniors judge the seniors and have all ages interact.
I got to ‘judge’ the junior handlers fun event and really enjoyed encouraging all of our beautiful young people to keep going in this hobby they love 💕
So many wonderful, well dressed people decked out in gold this weekend but Wendy thought outside the box and draped the ATKC table cloth around her as a cape and took the title of Best Dressed ⭐️… fly high ATKC 🥰🤣
When I said we had cake… we had a lot of cake 🤣 never been known to under cater 🤣
And I won the Bling Bling lead voucher in the raffle … woo hoo🎉

Oh and we showed our dogs 🐕 🐩

MOST IMPORTANTLY… thank you to my husband Scott and Rob’s partner Michael who ran our club canteen all weekend. Mike also picked up a judge from the airport and transported her up on Friday night. They don’t show dogs but they support us to show our dogs and we cannot be more grateful on weekends like this. There was much red wine purchased as payment🍷 🥰👏👏👏🙏
