📢Last chance to put entries in for our August trial 📢 Entries close tonight.
Tricks trial 1 and Games will begin at 9am Saturday. When both are complete we will have a lunch break and then kick off again approximately 2pm with Tricks 2 and Agility/Jumping. We are a small team running a big trial so help with height changes/bar pick ups/course changes help the day run efficiently and on time 💗 Looking forward to a fun filled weekend!

JULY TRIAL - Entries close tomorrow night, competitors please ensure entries are paid. This is our double jumping/agility and double tricks trial. There will be a 9am start with Agility and Tricks. After jumping has finished there will be a lunch break with an approximate start time of 2pm for second trial. Please arrive early to help with set up. No food available but soft drinks, tea/coffee and water available for purchase.

We are so proud of our instructors Tayla and Mia who recently competed in the State Championships in Agility, Tricks and Dancing with Dogs in Brisbane.

Mia and her dog Bronte showed that the Far North region can compete against the best in Qld coming first in Novice tricks with a near perfect score of 79.5/80 thoroughly earning her title of Novice Tricks State Champion.

Mia and Bronte also achieved a fantastic score of 170.5 out of 180 in the Dancing with Dogs starter class with a well deserved 2nd place and runner up state champion.

Tayla and Mia also competed with their dogs in agility under some very different conditions then we are used to in Fnq and up to 96 dogs in each event. Congratulations to Tayla and Mia who both came away with a qualifying score each and lots of really nice runs but just missing out on places.

Tablelands dog obedience club -
Puppy class is a perfect way to learn how to train your dog, socialise your puppy and start your pup on the journey to being a welcome member of the family.

Our puppy class is on again this Tuesday night at 5:30. Class goes for one hour and are $10 per class. We recommend your pup has had at least its second vaccinations before bringing them along. You can start on any Tuesday as it’s a 4 week cycle with different topics covered every week for the four weeks.

For dogs older than 6 months we have beginners obedience classes on Wednesday nights starting on the first Wednesday of the month. Great to learn how to teach your dog to walk loosely on a lead, stay, go to a place and lie down, be calm around other dogs and people and how to understand and listen to a dogs language! Classes start at 6pm with new members welcome on the first Wednesday of the every month.

For either puppy class or obedience Membership for the year is $50 which covers your insurance. Bring lots of yummy treats for your pup and wear closed in shoes. Just turn up!

Wishing lots of good luck to our instructors Tayla and Mia over the next three days as they compete against the best in the state in the QLD State Agility Titles in Brisbane. Tayla is competing with both her dogs , Rubble and Rafe and Mia is competing in both Agility and the Dancing with Dogs National Championships with her dog Bronte!

New intake for beginners class starts tonight, Wednesday 5th June at 6pm. All welcome 🐾
Learn how to walk your dog on a loose lead, all about doggy manners, body language and socialisation and heaps of other fun things to tech your dog!

Cost: $50 membership, $10 per class. Beginners class is a 4 week program. Bring lots of treats and please wear closed in shoes.

We train behind the new disaster management centre on Vernon st. in Atherton.
Just turn up around 5:45pm to sign up!

Tablelands Dog Obedience Club Puppy class starts this week on Tuesday for our May intake for any Puppies (under 6 mths of age). Class time is 5:30 - 6:30pm.

Cost is $50 membership which covers insurance for the year including if you would like to go on to our obedience classes once you and your puppy have graduated from puppy class. Training fees are $10 per night. Bring lots of treats and wear closed in shoes.

We train behind the fire station on Vernon st in the old school grounds. Entry via the drive way just below the Disaster management centre building. Just turn up.

The Agility Foundations class is now a 6 week course starting April 16th 📣 Tuesday nights 6.30pm. $120 per person.

This course covers -
⭐️ Intro to contacts
⭐️ Tunnel skills
⭐️ Jump Foundations
⭐️ Handling basics
⭐️ Toy/reward skills

This course is most suited to dogs that have completed Class 3 Obedience and have some offlead skills. Places are very limited so please message or speak to someone to secure your spot.

Notice to all members: the TDOC Annual General Meeting will be held on Wednesday, the 13th March at the TDOC clubhouse commencing at 8pm. All members welcome to attend.
Nominations for committee need to be submitted to the secretary (Jess) by Tuesday 13th February. Nomination forms are available at the clubhouse.

Get ready - the wait is nearly over!!
New intake for obedience classes Tuesday 6th Feb at 5:30pm (for puppies under 6 months) and Wednesday 7th Feb at 6pm (for dogs older than 6 months or puppy class graduates) in February!

Please arrive early for sign up. Membership is $50 per year (covers your insurance for the year) and $10 per night. Bring lots of treats and wear closed in shoes. Handlers over 10 years of age welcome (juniors must be supervised by an adult).

We meet at the club grounds at the old school grounds in Atherton. Entry is via the driveway next to the SES building on Vernon St.
