Have you ever wondered about the carcase performance of your cattle?

Santa Gertrudis Australia is giving breeders of Santa Gertrudis cattle the opportunity to find out through a feedlot feedback trial scheduled for southeast Queensland from mid February next year.

With no minimum entry numbers required, this is the perfect chance for smaller producers and stud vendors to market the commercial relevance of their cattle.

Sufficient interest shown on the trial will help us secure the pen space we need.

Time to lodge your interest closes on December 13.

The 2023 Brisbane Valley Santa Gertrudis Sale, held on September 13, saw a robust crowd of over 90 attendees. 65 registered bidders contributed to the success of the sale.

A total of 67 bulls were presented for sale, with 56 finding new homes, equating to an 84% clearance rate.

The sale garnered a total gross of $457,000.00, with a solid average price of $8,178.00 per bull.

The highest price of the day was achieved by Lot 11, Welbatch M079 (P), which commanded $24,000.00 and was acquired by Apache Santa Gertrudis.

The second-highest price was secured by Lot 5, Woodmillar Toto T214, selling for $21,000.00 to Cooinda Santa Gertrudis.

In the heifer offering, five heifers were offered and successfully sold, achieving an average price of $2,750.00.
