Yesterday’s smoke was pretty intense from the Briagolong fires, this morning at 4.30am was even more intense with the glow over the hills and the fire in the distance. Emergency evacuations are happening 10 minutes away, the wind is like a tornado, then stops to nothing and then blows up again. Crossing everything for the rain to arrive before the wind changes!

340 days but after 3 1/2 weeks Tina has had enough. The surgical suit is taking a beating, I’m readjusting 3+ times a day. Her back has sores, she had a sore hoof yet still stands without a halter each time I fix her up. Still no wax but everything is dropping. I wasn’t looking forward to this birth but now I would just like it done for her sake 💜 Half the suit is off getting patched again, we really need it to last.

GCDU Juan Diego was terrified of the motorbike when we first got him, now he loves it (And the fact it usually carries treats)

I thought I’d take some videos of Henri today for the people who are interested in him. You will notice we have not practiced these, the dogs are barking, the chickens making their noise, the kids are squawking, the place is generally chaos. My husband has a turn, he is not overly experienced with horses but that makes no difference, Henri even steps on a white pipe and the end shoots off, didn’t bother him (couldn’t rehearse that one if I tried 🤣)
