Toorak Interschool Horse Show 2024

A lovely overnight trip to Boneo Park and a really competitor friendly show today ticking off our State Interschool qual.

Charlee and MT Flirt represented Gippsland Grammar and finished with a win in the led hack, a win in the ridden hack and 2nd smartest on parade.

We had the pleasure of prepping Gentry Park City Lights for her new family. They looked gorgeous together and came home with some excellent results for their first show.

So much to love about today’s lesson. Lovely long stretchy start and finish and some consistent work in between for Charlee and Flirty.

So lucky to have the beautiful surface at Eulinga Park Equine to train on.

Gentry Park Mr Banks

If you are looking for a large pony that will eventually do it all, Bernie may be the pony for you.

Beautifully bred gelding by Lyrics out of Calwalla Picture, Bernie is expected to officially measure 13.2 to 14hh.

A smart, trainable pony, he was professionally broken in and has spent the past month in training with us.

Bernie will excel in pony dressage, HRCAV, the show ring and will make the ideal mount for a lady rider or established teen looking for a project to bring on and enjoy. Ready to start newcomers in 2025.

He has a beautiful kind nature and will thrive with a patient rider who gives him the chance to learn at his pace and build confidence.

Great to have his feet done, wash, saddle and handle. Started doing some trot poles.

Priced to sell at $6k on behalf of his owner - he is not yet ready for a young child or inexperienced rider.

Not sure I could love a little duo anymore than beautiful Sunny and her Bug (Daniel Park Heirloom).

Ticking off their goals and learning together, there is nothing more rewarding than seeing ponies we have broken in and started making their little people smile.

A happy / sad post as we announce the sale of our very beautiful Gentry Park City Lights.

Not something I’d really planned to do, but the reality of 2 businesses, a new job, a new hack and a paddock of newcomer ponies ready to start has set in.

Lottie has been with me since she was a baby. She’s been a dream young Galloway since day one and has got me out of the back blocks to competing on the big stage again. She is full of personality and makes us laugh every day. I’ve invested so much in to getting this mare from baby to child’s Galloway and she’s given us so many beautiful memories.

Thank you to everyone who has played a part in making her what she is today, especially Jade Gilbert and Lesley Flash Burrows.

She’s taking to her new little jockey so perfectly, makes me incredibly proud of the work we do and the investment in these young horses.

I’ll always be her biggest cheer squad and I can’t wait to watch this new partnership develop over time.

What a difference 9 years makes!

Omeo Show many moons ago riding Rivington Lily winning the smartest on parade and today on MT Flirt winning the same event.

A frosty start in the High Country this morning at Omeo Show.

Early day for Charlee and MT Flirt being done mid morning winning their height and champion hack in the first ring and the smartest on parade and champion.

We opted to get out of the wind and start the long drive home rather than wait for the rider and supreme.

A much slower pace at today’s lesson for these two tired girls. It’s been a huge few months for them both.

Makes me so happy he’s in a home where he’s so loved.

Rising 3 year old gelding by Deanhills Revolution out of Merivale Park Duchess Royal. Beautiful kind young pony that will make a top child’s prospect. Should mature medium open pony. This is his very first lunge, just takes it all in his stride. Brilliant, well bred project pony for someone this winter.

We still have this absolute ripper of a hunter pony on the market. No one has bothered to look and he’s so worth the drive. 13.1hh Bell’s Mountain 7 year old gelding. Suit top level showing, pony dressage, adult riding. He was purchased for a lady for this purpose but she’s decided she does not want to go down this path. This is him after weeks off. Such a sweety.

A quick escape from school over lunch today for a lesson for Charlee and Leo as they prepare for the SHC Grand Nationals.

Our beautiful Gentry Park City Lights finished off her newcomer season with the Royal Canberra Show. She’s been an absolute delight to show and train this season and is now on a well earned holiday. Nothing at her first Royal phased her, even carrying Charlee through the heats to the final line up in her hunter mare class yesterday against all the adults. Thank you to everyone who has contributed to getting her to this point. We can’t wait to see what next season brings.
