Proud of these two looking after one another and growing as a partnership. This was the ridden class, the judge of this category was not a fan. Luckily the other two judges loved them 🙌 Not to worry, Flirty is always the one we are happy to be taking home 💗

Horseland Australian Interschool Nationals 2025

An incredible few days at SIEC culminated in Charlee and MT Flirt working possibly the best they ever have to place 3rd in the rider, 1st in the led and 11th in the ridden to claim 5th place overall in the Senior Show Horse.

Exactly 2 weeks ago today we were in Melb having surgery on her hand after a fall off a breaker resulted in a snapped finger requiring a plate.

The day we brought Flirty home she set herself a goal. She wanted to ride for Team VIC, so there were lots of tears, an incredible amount of determination and grit and possibly a bit of ‘crazy’ that got us through to today.

Anything is possible is very true for these two right now. I really couldnt be prouder of Charlee for the maturity and resilience she has shown and yes we did both have a cry when the weight of it all was lifted and she got round.

A beautiful positive few days with fun people. Congratulations to all of Team VIC, especially our Senior Show Horse Team of Lucy, Stella and Amelia, all coming away with placings.

Thank you to Charlee’s coach Van den Berg Equitation for investing years into her riding and always being a positive light in her life.

2025 Australian Interschool Nationals

Arrived safe and sound yesterday and all settled in. Flirty is enjoying riding around the grounds and Charlee is having a great time with her team mates, decorating her stable and excited for the opening ceremony this afternoon.

Daniel Park Royal Doulton at his first show with Charlee and Keeley.

Beetle went on to be named runner up newcomer and win the very last leading rein Shetland class at Barastoc Horse of the Year under a UK judge.

He is dearly loved to this day by the same people we sold him too 🖤

There is nothing quite like working with a really challenging horse or pony and ticking off the small wins. Once too petrified to wear side reins or lunge out of the yard, little by little we have built trust and added to our training and finally we are off and running. So rewarding growing a relationship with a horse like this and seeing his personality start to shine.
