Megs Hopman, founder, has a work history in both the disability sector and human behaviour, as well as a complete understanding of dogs. She is university qualified to manage and deliver an exceptional service. This business is unique in that it focuses on dog training as well as empowering and educating dog parents. The business understands that everyone has an individual journey with their dog a

nd adapts their services accordingly. Playful Paws is the ‘go to’ for dog training and behaviour in East Gippsland, with people proud to say their dogs have been trained with them. The business has continued to adapt and evolve through consultation with the community which has contributed to rapid growth of the business. Fireworks 🎆

Whilst we all settle in for an evening of reflection, drinks and company, we need to think about setting our dog up for success!

Here are some options to help with either creating a positive relationship to noisy fireworks, or supporting your dog through them.

Pre plan to be at home with your dog or have someone keep an eye on them.

Know when the fireworks are happening!

- Set your dog up in a safe secure area - dogs often like to hide or be in a den-like place (like a crate)

- Give them something extra delicate for them, like a juicy steak or bone 🍖 while they are going off

- You can use calming aids such as thunder shirts, Adaptil or calming treats (or veterinary prescribe medication)

- Put on some calm music or provide companionship

Most importantly bring in the year with a calm relaxing environment!

It’s with mixed emotions that we say goodbye to Amity, we’re happy she is finding a new adventure to follow but know we (and the dogs) will miss her.

Amity has been a bubbly, smiley trainer with us for the past three years and has grown from a shy work experience student into an amazing woman.

We provide different fun options for training your best friend.

Dream of having a dog that you can take anywhere, meet visitors nicely and settle at a cafe? We can teach you to teach your dog these skills in different classes. Or we help kickstart their training with our Puppy Kinder and Funday options.

Megs is an accredited dog trainer with over 15 years experience, with this knowledge she brings a passion of bringing out the best in your best friend, and helping you to connect with your dog. Her team work closely with Megs to provide a personal, family-friendly and a community vibe service.

Our passion is to see More Dogs. More Places. More Often.
