Well guys. I am just about qualified now to do Emmett’s therapy as paid employment. You can definitely tell it works extremely well when you are at a show and you see a friends horse short step in their front end, que Emmett’s treatment and they both went in to win their rider class and take out champion. Thank you Brown for allowing me to share your success after doing a small treatment on your handsome boy.

Been a bit behind with our post lately. Between us both working full time, Terri going to the gym and pilates 5 days a week to improve her health, and Nik playing basketball there is not much time left in out days.

2 weeks ago we both competed at the Bulla Winter Woolies. Terri rode Shanell Storm N Deeva and although no ribbons won, she won with Deeva improving more and more on each outing. Aaron rode Aloha Sea Pirate and placed in most classes. Thanks to Bulla Adult Riding Club for hosting the show and to Barastoc Horse, The NRG Team for sponsoring the show.

Last weekend was spent at the Tallarook Family Riding Club TTT Nav Ride at Lancefield competing in the long ride. Terri rode Aloha Sea Pirate and Aaron rode Shanell Storm N Deeva. Out of the 25 teams on the long ride we placed 7th, never placed that high. Thanks to the Tallarook Family Ride Club for host the event, (sadly will moss their annual Nav Ride due to Terri having her Emmetts Therapy that weekend). And to sponsors Off The Track Victoria, HRV Hero, Hygain, BARE Equestrian, Mario’s Muffins, EQ Saddlery, Petstock, Hamag, Equinade, Parkside Winery and Farm, Southside Stockfeeds.

And today was spent at the Guildford Saddle Club Winter Woolies. Terri competed on Shanell Storm N Deeva again, this time having a better day managed to win a few ribbons. Aaron competed on Aloha Sea Pirate and placed and won in some of his classes. Rode together in the pairs class and in the egg and spoon race. We have been a bit quiet as of lately as there has been a number of things going on. They have ranged from family issues that we have gotten sorted out, to both of us starting new employment and still doing training, barefoot farrier, breaking in and clipping as well as I am currently training to become an Emmett’s therapist and an allied health personnel. So there has been a lot going on a long with competing.

It’s so awesome that even though I had misplaced my voucher that Py and I had won at TTT Show in 2021, that Kohnke’s Own have still upheld it so I could purchase some goodies.

The end of a big weekend. After preping Deeva (Shanell Storm N Deeva) and Axel (Dawn Rise Black Valley) on Saturday and heading to Werribee for the HRCAV TTT showing, another 5 horses to be plaited. Followed by 5 tails this morning and getting ourselves ready to compete.
Unfortunately for Terri and Deeva, Deeva did not compete at her best today and did not win any ribbons, but still had some great remarks from judges. Small steps forward. And another saddle adjustment again.
Axel started his morning unsettled but changed quickly placing 3rd in Smartest on Parade, 1st Ridden, 4th Led, 1st Mount Most Suitable for Hrcav, 3rd for Mount Most suited to a beginner and 4th for pleasure mount. And winning the standbred breed award.
Thank you to HRV Hero, Standardbred Pleasure & Performance Horse Association of Victoria Inc for your sponsorship and to the Off The Track Equestrian Club Inc for being the organisers of the show and to all the other people involved and sponsors.

Who would like to purchase free range eggs or freshly baked goods at TTT Show. No I am not a licensed kitchen yet but just thought if people wanted to purchase some I can make some stuff like Jelly spice, Lemon Slice, Hedgehog and muffins and NY style biscuits. Hit me up. Eggs be $5.00 a dozen.

Hey guys, as from next week if you wish to book me for plaiting, I am charging a prepaid fee of $20 non refundable as there has been to many cancellation and others have missed out. This $20 will come off your total owing. Please understand this is my business and I cannot afford for constant cancellation etc in our current economic climate, plus it isn’t fair to others who miss out, when they could have been booked in. I will be available for a tail plait for Saturday at 160th Clunes Show can plait Saturday afternoon for Beaufort Agricultural Society Annual Show or tail on the Sunday morning at Beaufort and will be available to plait at ABSS Spring Carnival Horse Showat Bendigo being there Thursday afternoon til Saturday. There are changes happening around here at Dawn Rise. I am now a level 1 Emmett’s Therapist. Still have 4 levels to go before qualified but can now treat horses that are here for training, breaking and education. So now your 4 legged friends can get the deluxe edition of help to ensure they can successfully continue their work and training

Some of the beautiful horses I did on Friday. They were very lovely to do and their owners had an awesome time taking them showing with wonderful results.
Yesterday I taught plaiting to the wonderful students at Smythesdale Pony Club seeing all their beautiful horses as well putting up with me putting makeup etc on them.
Today I taught at Beaufort Pony Club having a blast teaching all their wonderful students and how far they have all progressed with their riding achievements.
Tonight done right relaxing around a beauty of a bonfire. What more could you ask for from a weekend.

These aren’t my photos but they are the only ones I currently have. Ok I can not contain my excitement any longer. Saturday is too far away to go and pick up this stunning girl. We are welcoming Aloha Saving Grace (Grace) to the family. Yes same stud as Pyro. I simply couldn’t pass her by. She is a slightly small version of Gerry who can never be replaced but hopefully the dreams continue with her. Thank you Mary Triggs for allowing us to give this gorgeous girl a home here and hopefully we can shoot to the top. Aaron Wicke
