The silly season has begun, and we are already seeing an increase in traffic on the roads. This is a friendly reminder of a few housekeeping things.

Please allow extra travel time to your appointment so that you arrive on time. As per our policy, being more than 10 minutes late will see your booking marked as a no-show, and full fees are payable.

- ensure you are replying to your reminder texts to confirm your appointment. Any appointments not confirmed within 24 hours of your booking will be marked as cancelled.

- Keep an eye out for your 'ready to pick up' text. It is expected that your dog is collected within 20 minutes of receiving the text message. We are a small salon and have back to back bookings, so for everyone's safety, we can not accommodate your dog staying in the salon for long periods of time after their groom.

We always want to do our best for you and your pooch, but it's a team effort. If you ever have any concerns or can't meet our requirements, please reach out PRIOR to your appointment, and we will see what we can work out for you.

Meet Bucky the Border Collie.

Typically, we don't shave double coated breeds as it can damage their coat and cause alopecia. However, there are some cases where shaving the coat is the more humane option. Usually, this occurs when a double coated breed is elderly or has an ongoing medical condition.

Bucky is a senior girl and the least stressful and more manageable option for her is to shave. Doesn't she look adorable?

2024 BOOKINGS

We are now fully booked for our standard appointments for the remainder of 2024. Keep in mind that we do offer after-hours and Sunday appointments for an additional fee.

We are still taking on new clients. However, there will be no standard appointments until the new year or unless someone cancels.

If you wish to go on our cancellation list, please send us a message.

If you aren't sure when your next appointment is booked for, we urge you to contact us ASAP. If you are unable to make your existing appointment, we can't guarantee that you will be rebooked for this year.

A big part of grooming is making sure it is a positive and fun experience for your dog. Play time is essential in the salon for easing anxiety, promoting positivity, and rewarding the efforts put in by your dog.

It's merely impossible to be any more relaxed than Oaklee is in this moment 💕

Yes, it is winter and we are still getting a blowout like this. Double coated breeds do go through 'coat drops' where the deshedding process is much bigger, but they also require very regular maintenance grooms all year round. Their coats are designed to both heat and cool them, and if we are leaving their dead undercoat unattended, their coats can not function efficiently. Loki is groomed every 8 weeks and still drops this much coat.
