HAPPY (belated) VETERINARY RECEPTIONIST WEEK!

Although we are a week late, today we took the opportunity to formally show thanks and appreciation to the Customer Service team across both clinics by sharing some afternoon tea.

Kim, Kristy and Tara provide an array of support and services to their colleagues and our clientele.

Their multi-tasking skills are fine tuned to deal with constant phones calls, scheduling, cleaning up accidents, administrative tasks, processing payments and supporting clients in times of sorrow . . . and so much more!!

It is no easy task, so a big THANKYOU from the Vet/Nurse team and the Management Team.

Thinking about the animals that died during wartime makes us sad. We can also feel proud and thankful that they worked hard to help save lives. At many memorials, animals help us to remember the people who served in the war and those who died.

Lest we forget animals on Anzac Day.

INTRODUCING Dr Emma Bowman.
Emma is another new Veterinary Associate, having started with us just a few short weeks ago after having completed placement with us last year.

Emma will be available as a mixed practice Vet also, again providing service at both clinics for companion pets, as well as on farm consults across her weekly schedule.

It is a busy time settling in to a new clinic with so many new people to meet and processes to learn, but Emma is thriving on every challenge and we love the enthusiasm she brings every day.
Thanks Emma for choosing us!

INTRODUCING DR JESS MILLS (2.0) . . . yes a little confusing as we will have two Dr Jess's in clinic.

Jess started with us just 6 weeks ago, but has settled in quickly - is getting to know her work mates and the run of a busy clinic with a supportive team around her.

As per Dr Jaz, Jess will be available for on farm consults, as well as companion animal consults/surgery at both clinics. Jess has moved to Ballarat specifically to work with us after a 1 week "look 'n' see" late last year - which says a lot about what we can offer potential employees :)
Thanks for choosing us Jess - we are so glad to have you on board!

A few fun facts about Dr Jess:
- studied in Townsville ๐Ÿ๏ธ
- I want to own 2 Scottish Highland cows one day named Jessebell and Gaston ๐Ÿฎ
- I have never been through a Victorian winter (yet) ๐Ÿฅถ and have never seen the snow โ„๏ธ
- I enjoy going to the gym each morning and working on my strength ๐Ÿ‹๏ธโ€โ™€๏ธ
- I moved to Ballarat just to work at here because the team were so welcoming and became my instant family ๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐Ÿ‘งโ€๐Ÿ‘ง

INTRODUCING . . .Dr Jasmine Rodda.
Jasmine is a new Associate at our clinic, and started with us in September 2023.

Jasmine is an all rounder, providing on farm services, as well as companion animal consults at both Pet & Farm and Petstock Delacombe clinics.

Jaz is a welcomed addition to the team with her enthusiasm, energy and beaming smile :)

A few fun facts about Dr Jaz:
โƒ Grew up locally
โƒ Studied veterinary science at Charles Sturt University in Wagga Wagga.
โƒ Love small animals but large animals are my main passion
โƒ Outside of work you'll find me at the snow, doing yoga or cuddling my dog on the couch.
โƒ I love to travel and am planning on moving to England to work as a vet in the future
โƒ I really enjoy working with the team at Ballarat Pet and Farm/Petstock Vet and love the variety of animals that we see here.

DID YOU KNOW that across both our clinics we are completely staffed by women?

Next Friday, March 8th, is International Womenโ€™s Day. In the lead up to that day, we will be introducing some of our newer staff members and acknowledging all the amazing and dedicated women we employ.

It was not our plan to have an all woman work place, but we are very proud of all our staff and the skills they bring.

We look forward to sharing some fun facts . . . So stay tuned!

Some good advice here ๐Ÿ’— ๐Ÿ•

Today is LOVE YOUR PET day.

We should love them everyday, of course. But perhaps today can be the day you let them keep that childhood toy theyโ€™ve claimed as their ownโ€ฆ

Or give them an extra ear scratch, treat after tea, and indulge them with an extra walk full of sniff stops.

While youโ€™re feeling loved up, please take a moment to feel grateful for the people who care for our animals too. Weโ€™re lucky to have them. ๐ŸŒป

Congratulations Courtney and Jordan and a big welcome to Ezra to the BPFV/Petstock Vet family โ€“ you are devine!
