The Ballina Cup Calcutta at the Ballina RSL Club Ltd was a huge success this year! The Ballina Lighthouse & Lismore Surf Life Saving Club was the major charity sponsor, and $6000 was raised on the night. A good portion of that is going straight back into supporting local surf life saving efforts, making our beaches safer for everyone.

A massive thank you to everyone who came along and helped make it such a great night! 🙌

Many of you will recognise Kerry (on the left), she’s always turning heads at our race days with her stunning headpieces! 😊 But did you know she has over 300 hats and fascinators available for hire?

What started as a personal collection and hobby has grown into 'Girlie Accessory Hire', a fabulous local business helping ladies complete their race day look. If you’re after the perfect piece to top off your outfit, Kerry is your go to!

The North Coast Show N’ Shine & Swap Meet is back at the Ballina Jockey Club on Sunday Feb 23rd, and after an epic first event with over 700+ cars, this one’s set to be even bigger!

Huge display of cars from classics to modern, plus motorbikes and utes. There’ll be live music, interactive displays, markets, memorabilia, and trade stalls - plenty to see and do!

Gates open 6 AM for vehicle and swap meet entry!

🚗 Classic cars, motorbikes, utes & more, with many prizes in judging categories
🎶 Live music, markets & interactive displays
🍔 Food trucks (from 9 AM), licensed bar (10 AM - 3 PM)
🎡 Kids’ rides & activities included in entry

Westpac Helicopter will be serving up breakfast from 6:30 AM, plus great food options all day from Rotary, food trucks, and the Ballina Jockey Club’s air conditioned dining area.

Bring the whole family! Kids under 12 get free entry to the jumping castle, rides, and activities. And to make it even easier, FREE shuttle buses will be running from Ballina every half hour.

Best of luck to local trainer Jordan Lee!

“Pop trained a few winners at Quirindi, and Dad’s trained over 800 winners, so it would be a nice thrill to get the monkey off the back."

The Lee family name is firmly established in racing, and young Ballina-based trainer Jordan Lee wants to continue that tradition.

Tomorrow, he'll be chasing his first winner as a trainer when Eagle Hawk Star (Luke Rolls) takes on the 1206m Class 4 Country Championships preview.
