Early testing has found the avian influenza virus in poultry at an egg farm near Meredith.

Agriculture Victoria is responding with staff on the ground supporting the business with laboratory investigations as necessary.

Poultry farmers, backyard flock and bird owners are urged to report any cases of unexplained bird deaths to the 24-hour Emergency Animal Disease Hotline on 1800 675 888, or your local vet.

As discussed today.. we use Turkey & Flaxseed Prime100.. you can find it at Pet Stock or Petbarn.. and probably at other pet shops too. We cut up the whole roll & portion it into sandwich bags.. one bag lasts us a class. We freeze the rest and take a bag out each week for training.

WE HAVE HAD A HEARTWORM POSITIVE CASE.

This dog has travelled down from Queensland and was not on any heart worm prevention. The carrier of heartworm is mosquitos and given the influx of mosquito numbers recently the parasite can quickly spread throughout the region and to our pets.

What should you do: ENSURE YOUR PET IS ON HEARTWORM PREVENTION. Our recommended prevention is MONTHLY Simparica Trio or an ANNUAL INJECTION of Proheart sr12. To start your dog on prevention, get in touch with us on 5281 1221

DuraDog - so I have been going on and on about these collars… I said I would post something about them tonight. So let me be clear.. we all come from different mindsets and some of you might prefer a harness and that’s ok but… if you want a hardcore collar get one from here. I like a wide collar but you knew that I’ve gone on and on and on about it.. so here take a look.. 😀
