guarantee of a puppy but we will do our best to work with you to get a suitable new family member. Show pup enquiries are always welcome but note that they are sold on contract to be shown to their title. Please check for other registered breeders at www.dogzonline.com.au and you will always have a substantial wait from any reputable breeder. If it seems to good to be true, then it likely is a scam. Anything more than a fully refundable deposit (& consumer law says no more than 20% of the purchase price) with a set time frame if no pup supplied is a MAJOR red flag - walk away! We only request deposits when we have a physical pup to offer someone. No one can eradicate all health issues - all parents should be health tested BEFORE breeding & copies of parental health checks should be supplied used if you request them (& you should). We supply copies of parental health checks in your Puppy Folder too.

Our Story

All information about our dogs, booking a puppy or putting your name down for an older dog is available on our website - www.kortmar.com.

All enquiries must go through the Wait List.

There is a substantial wait for our pups - unless you are seeking a show pup then the wait is likely to be measured in multiple years but sometimes good things are worth waiting for!

If you are after a show pup, you will need to contact us on [email protected] as well and tell us about yourself and what you are looking for in a show dog and we will do our best to help you.

Should we have sufficient pups and of sufficient quality that we want to see in the ring, we are happy to sell show pups outright with no conditions - we will discuss this direct with interested parties.

For all pups - companion and show prospects, interstate and overseas travel costs are in addition to the purchase price and are at the new owners expense.

Kortmar Shiba Stay & Play packages

While we are no longer running Open Days, we are now offering Kortmar Shiba Stay & Play packages - a chance to meet multiple Shiba in person and spend some time with them - which is a great thing if you haven't really had that opportunity before. Your stay can be self-catered or fully catered - a single night or a couple - in our Kortmar Manor Guest Suite with lots and lots of access to the dogs - take a dog for a walk, have one in your room overnight (only if they want to - The Shiba Decides!), give them a bath, play with them in the dog yards and if you want, sit around with us and drink wine or coffee and talk Shiba Shiba Shiba!
