Saddle Solutions is a completely independent, mobile saddle fitting service. During your consultation we will;
ask you a number of questions to help us assess your horse and determine how best to fit your saddle
palpate your horse to determine areas of pain and assess your horses overall condition
assess your horses conformation to determine how it can affect saddle fit
assess how your saddle cur

rently fits your horse whilst stationary and explain how and why it needs to be adjusted (if needed) to ensure your saddle will place even pressure across your horses back. make adjustments to your saddle (whilst doing so we will also conduct a safety check of the saddle)
assess how the saddle fits after adjusting whilst the horse is stationary
assess how the saddle fits whilst the horse is being ridden
During the Saddle Fitting process we will educate you step by step of what we are aiming to achieve so you come away with knowledge on how to asses your horses saddle in the future. Saddle Solutions are equipped to adjust all types and brands of saddles with an adjustable gullet. Our fitters are trained to make all gullet adjustments on site where possible, re-flock saddles and adjust saddles with the CAIR system. Saddle Solutions is a licensed second hand dealer and stock a range of quality used saddles for you to try or buy. Our range is constantly changing so if you are looking to buy a second hand saddle let us know what you are looking for and if we do not have that saddle in stock we will assist you in finding one. The range of saddles we carry is appropriate for the pleasure rider all the way through to competitive riders. We generally stock a range of saddles including but not limited to Bates, Passier, Riviera, KN, Kieffer, Trainer's. As we are a completely independent saddle fitting business, we have no alliance with any company or brand of saddle. If you are looking to purchase a new or used saddle, we will provide you with a completely unbiased, professional opinion on the best saddles on the market to suit you and your horse and direct you to the local saddle stockists. You are welcome to ride in our saddles to help you decide what is the perfect saddle for you and your horse. We service all metro areas and regularly travel to Bunbury / Busselton, Albany, Geraldton and Kalgoorlie. Other areas can be serviced upon request.

I first discovered the innovative Stübben Equi-Soft girth 1 year ago. I was so impressed by the difference the products made to my own team of dressage horses I decided to find out more. After spending a week in the factory in Kempen Germany earlier this year with the owner Johannes Stübben and his team, I have been blown away by the quality, commitment to horse comfort and freedom, service of the Stübben brand.

I have HUGE respect for Eventers, and I love fitting saddles for them (mainly because they have every pad/ girth/ shim ever known to man hidden in their tack room! 😂)

Vaz and her team at Glenbaile Stables is next level. Vaz is meticulous in her horse management, has amazing feel as a rider and she runs a super professional yard. To be asked to fit every saddle in her barn is a privilege 🙌

Aside from pocket rocket Bijoux's development, the highlight of the day was watching Vaz fall in love with her Bates Advanta all over again 🤩

If there is one thing I am extremely grateful for it is the amazing professionals I have met on this saddle fitting journey so far 🙌

Given Amy's attachment to Mel, and her reputation as an exceptional human and equine therapist and rider bio mechanics coach, to say I was nervous when I first fitted Amy's 'special' horses is understatement! 😂 Amy is now a firm friend, colleague and much needed DNS coach 🌟

Time and time again I’m asked by clients who I recommend to have their saddle fitted.

Quite simply the answer is Saddle Solutions

When Mel took a step back from saddle fitting full time I was devestated .... how could I trust anyone else with my awkward horses!

She mentioned Beth would be taking over fitting full time and I thought hmm we will see 😂

Honestly I could not have been more impressed. Beth goes above and beyond with her fittings. She’s happy to go into detail for the annoying client like myself that must know everything 😂 her knowledge is incredible and her attention to detail ... wow!

I have been happy with every fit I have had and both horses are going exceptionally well. 😊

Beth can access a variety of different saddle brands and is an independent fitter. We just had a jump saddle trial last week. She took video of me in each saddle so I could see how I ride in comparison. The saddles she brought fitted Soli so well and fitted my needs. She made sure every trial saddle had the right gullet and fitted him the best it could so I could really get a feel for them! 😍

So if you’re looking for a great saddle fitter or looking to buy a new saddle Beth would definitely be my recommendation 💯

Winter riding and leather gear... If you are trying to keep horses fit and compete in winter you are going to get wet 🌧 How do you all look after your saddles and bridles if you know you are heading out into the rain? Me.. I like to apply saddle grease/cream pre ride to repel the water as much as possible and stop those annoying rub marks that happen when wet leather rubs on wet leather! (And then pour water over my saddle and video it 🙈🙈🙈) It literally takes a few minutes to wipe over your saddle and apply the dressing so well worth doing to preserve your saddle. My two favourite dressings are the Equipe Grease (available from Trailrace Saddlery) and Oakwood Leather Conditioner which is Australian made with lanolin, beeswax, emu oil, tea tree and eucalyptus oil(available from Horseland Midland) (obviously check what your saddle manufacture recommends!!)

Something a little different for today... After a couple of long days fitting in Albany some RnR watching the MGA at Wagin this morning. These ponies and riders are amazing!

Saddle Solutions has been trusted by thousands of riders in WA since 2011. Taking over the reins from Mel Ellery, the business is now headed up by Beth King. Saddle Solutions continues to offer a truly independent saddle fitting service.

Beth is obsessed with horses. As a competitive dressage rider, she understands the importance of the connection between horse and human and the role the saddle plays in this relationship. Beth’s approach is based on a solid understanding of anatomy, function and equine bio-mechanics. Her attention to detail and ability to communicate her observations effectively means you and your horse are in safe hands. Beth has a strong commitment to ongoing education and plans to share her knowledge with you, our valued clients.

Based at the iconic Swan Valley Equestrian Park, now known as Dressage24, Saddle Solutions offers a safe environment for fittings and saddle trials. Beth regularly travels and can often be booked for appointments with regular weekly runs to Gidgegannup, Bullsbrook, Waneroo, Wattle Grove, Orange Grove, Oakford, Serpentine and surrounds. Trips to country locations such as Geralton, Busselton, Margaret River and Albany are scheduled throughout the year.
