Our beautiful puppies are ready for their forever homes soon.

We are advertising two puppies who are not going to the previously planned homes as air travel plans would mean pups were spending too long waiting and we are not happy with those plans for young pups - so we now have an opportunity to offer these pups for adoption

Contacted us to meet our beautiful puppies quickly!

Lazy Acres Dogue De Bordeaux puppies are located in Bathurst NSW and we breed strong, happy, healthy, playful puppies with exceptional type and temperament ..., 1329070312

Fun times outside having a play on the grass! Of course no playtime is complete without someone getting cheeky & chewing Grumpyโ€™s pants!

So important for the giant breeds

So important for the giant breeds

When you get your 8 week old puppies, please keep these images in mind. Their bones do not even touch yet. They plod around so cutely with big floppy paws and wobbly movement because their joints are entirely made up of muscle, tendons, ligaments with skin covering. Nothing is fitting tightly together or has a true socket yet.

When you run them excessively or don't restrict their exercise to stop them from overdoing it during this period you don't give them a chance to grow properly. Every big jump or excited bouncing run causes impacts between the bones. In reasonable amounts this is not problematic and is the normal wear and tear that every animal will engage in.

When you're letting your puppy jump up and down off the lounge or bed, take them for long walks/hikes, you are damaging that forming joint. When you let the puppy scramble on tile with no traction you are damaging the joint.

You only get the chance to grow them once. A well built body is something that comes from excellent breeding and a great upbringing-BOTH, not just one.

Once grown you will have the rest of their life to spend playing and engaging in higher impact exercise. So keep it calm while they're still little baby puppies and give the gift that can only be given once.

A big first day out for the puppies with a visit to Stewart St Vets - all weighed, vet checked & microchips and immunisations done - they were so brave so lots of lovely playtime too!

So grateful we have such wonderful vets and vet nurses who go the extra mile to make sure puppies have great experiences visiting the vets & with lots of lovely cuddles they will always be excited to go for their check ups!

Spring is on the way and preparations have begun. The bees are already out & stretching their wings after a cold winter

Some Fruit tree pruning and shaping is getting quickly caught up as some where missed!

Spring veg garden plans & sketches are all ready to go & the compost is looking good!

This week is time for making spaces for bare root fruit trees arriving soon - if you are planting them too make sure each tree is pruned to one strong central leader and the base branches are trimmed now to avoid the tree splitting and dying later (other than the citrus)

Hope you are enjoying the sunshine too ๐Ÿ‘ฉ๐Ÿปโ€๐ŸŒพ

This is a great weekend to be waiting for the rain to finish and then plant your broad beans and garlic. Mulch well to keep the soil moisture from disappearing.
Peas, salad leaves and any brassicas (cauliflower/cabbage/broccoli) all are good to get in now as seedlings and good to eat the leaves in stir fry and salad too.
Happy gardening ๐Ÿ‘ฉ๐Ÿปโ€๐ŸŒพ
