We are a registered not for profit charity based in Batlow NSW. We help as many domestic and farm animals as we possibly can. We have a small dog and cat shelter up here in Batlow and a farm for other animals. We are constantly out and about with our animal doing one of our many shows or stalls. We receive no government funding and are a not for profit charity. We have a awesome team which are ded

icated to helping all animals that come into our care. Our aim is to rescue and rehome as many animals as possible meaning we can rescue and help more animals escape death row. We love what we do and helping animals in need. All donations are tax deductable and greatly appreciated. Please help us to "Help the Helpless"

Our Bush Baby Nell. Nell was found with her brother in the bush near our shelter here.
Nells brother was adopted and now she is on her own.
Nell is (we think) a border collie x. Her date of birth is approx 8.3.24. She is extremely sweet, a little shy but very loving. Nell would make a wonderful family pet.
If you are interested in Nell her adoption fee is $600.00. She is Vet checked, Temperament tested, De-sexed, Vaccinated, Micro chipped, Wormed and Flea treated.

Weekly reminder to vote!

Why is voting so important to us? Well every single vote counts and the more votes we get the more chance we have at receiving a much needed grant. We know times are tough this us doing a few things
1. More surrenders and more animals at the pound
2. Less adoptions, meaning animals stay with us longer
3. Less donations (of both money and much needed supplies)
This makes rescue tough at the moment but we keep going!! With the help of My Giving Circle and our AMAZING supporters we can do AMAZING things. So PLEASE take a minute of your day to vote!!! Why am I still here at the shelter. No one loves me.
Ive been here at SMART Animal Sanctuary for 124 days.

Meet the lovely Maggie, a charming American Staffy mix with a heart as big as her smile. Behind her gleaming eyes is a delightful soul, filled with joy and love. From her wagging tail to her delightful disposition, she is an outgoing, cheerful dog who will always light up your day.

Maggie's nature is truly exceptional. Her maternal instinct is evident in the loving care she gave her four beautiful puppies who were born in the pound, showing just how nurturing she can be. Rest assured that this trait translates into her interaction with humans as well: she's a fan of giving and receiving affection and will go out of her way to be near her favourite people.

Maggie will bring excitement to your walks as she gets to explore her surroundings. While she has been trained to walk well on the lead, she may occasionally get distracted by the many interesting things that the world has to offer. Don't worry though - a quick call of her name and a reminder to follow usually bring her focus back and she's ready to continue her sniffing journey.

As much as she loves her humans, Maggie is not best suited to a home with other dogs or cats. But her love for people makes up for this: she cannot resist a good petting session and sometimes, she literally cannot resist - in her excitement, Maggie has been known to jump up for your attention.

This vivacious dog is just waiting to find her compatible new family, one that cherishes her for the loving and joyful dog she is. She's ready to respond to your call (most of the time), offering a furry, wagging bundle of joy to brighten up your life. As her future family member, you will make her world complete, and you can bet she'll do the same for you.

Bush babie #4 feeling some love.

No one has come forward for us. Why were we left in the bush. Sorry about squeaky voice but only way I could get them to come to me. Are these 2 your babies or do you know who owns them? Two about 12 week old pups left to fend for themselves in the bush. Thanks to Sarah who was walking her dogs for making us aware of them. They were down the road from our shelter in Kunama on Central logging road. Very hungry and cold. Now have full bellies and are warm in a bed in our kennels. Wow I'm so cute and look how clever I am. Im Olaf and are a Bull terrier x cattle dog (we think). Im just over 1 year old and adore people. I like to have people to myself and don't really want to share you with another furfriend. I promise to be your bestest friend. I love cuddles and really miss my TV as they dont have one here at the shelter. If you are interested in me please inbox SMART.
