Rousseau Farms Pty Ltd is currently offering a long term lease of the training facility only on our private, quiet and well maintained spelling property in Bayles, Victoria 12minutes from the Pakenham Racecourse.

The facilities included are:

* Wash bays
* 3 x under cover tie ups
* 8 horse electric walker
* New polybelt lined round yard with Suregrip Sand mixed with premium level of Treadlite surface.
* Large stable complex with 10 Stables all with Auto water.
* Large tack/feed room
* Washing Machine
* Undercover sawdust storage
* Hay storage
* We will also include use of 3-4 1/2 acre paddocks with equine safe fencing resown in autumn 2023 with a premium equine mix
* 9 outdoor yards of varying sizes.
* Toilet facility

This facility would be ideal for a breaker/pre-trainer living local to the area looking for a space to run their business from long term.

The 9 acres we have resown with Notmans premium equine seed blend is looking amazing! We hope to have all the pastures on the property renovated with this mix within the next year or so! No grazing by the horses unfortunately until late spring so that the grass is well established but it will be topped for silage early spring!

Thanks again to Andrew and his team from Nedz Shedz on another lovely paddock shelter! 2 more shelters still to put into the remaining 2 single private paddocks and then we will start working on getting shelters into the remaining 6 double paddocks! Slowly but surely we keep working on property improvements! A beautiful sunny day here just as well as we had our Pure Italian Rye pastures cut last night and hope to have it baled and in the shed within the next day or 2! ❤

With great excitement we welcomed a beautiful filly foal that was born in the early hours on Thursday morning from our Friesian mare that arrived in Australia from Holland in December. This is the first foal by the incredible Jehannes 484 here in Australia. We look forward to this precious filly one day becoming an integral part of our future Friesian program.

The beautiful Evita arrived safe and sound to the farm on Saturday after a very long adventure from Northern Holland! We are absolutely besotted with this stunning young mare, she is even more beautiful then we ever imagined with an incredibly sweet and kind nature. We look forward to seeing her beautiful foal by Jehannes 484 in June and we are very excited about the beginning of our Friesian breeding program and hope to produce some extraordinary future dressage mounts with that Friesian WOW factor!

Very exciting news, We have something a little different arriving to the farm all the way from the Netherlands mid December!! She sure will stick out like a sore thumb from all her TB neighbours!

The beautiful Evita Van Bungarten, a pure Friesian mare who is infoal to the amazing Jehannes 484 due end of June!
She is currently in quarantine in Germany and will be flying to Australia on the 3rd of December! Not long till we get to meet this beautiful girl now!!

Mowing and more mowing over the past couple days just in time for the shocking weather we have been having!! Horses moved to fresh paddocks, old paddocks harrowed, mowed and now resting :)
A few plans in the works to get some some beautiful hay pastures sown this autumn so we have beautiful clean hay straight off the farm for the horses in our care next season!

Rousseau Farms Pty Ltd are offering full care spelling at our private agistment property in the Bayles, Victoria approx 13mins from Packenham Race Course. Private paddocks with shelters, Horse safe 5foot high fencing, Auto water, 2 hard feeds a day/hay as required. Owner lives on site, quality pastures and irrigation as required in the summer.

Foaling season is well underway now and we are happy to report the first foaling at Rousseau Farms is a beautiful filly! Big congrats to our clients of this lovely filly that arrived last Friday at a pretty reasonable time of 5.15am. Using the new smart foal foaling alarm system we were able to monitor the mare at the very early stages of labour hours before the actual birthing began.

A good application of Calciprill onto the pastures today! Paddocks have now all been sprayed for weeds and fertilised and are looking a treat!

Our first Client mare to foal down is alarmed with the Smart foal system. We can watch her every move!

30ml of rain overnight and now with these warmer days the spring growth will seriously start kicking in! Luckily the aggie lines through the property are helping keep pastures fairly well drained after a dump of rain! More on the way tonight!

We have been busy on the farm getting pastures in good order and new paddock shelters into our double paddocks! We will be spraying for weeds on the remainder of the property over the next week or 2 and also getting a good drop of lime and fert put down.
