In my spare time, between art and work, hubby and I foster cats for Cat Haven WA. This is Fox (ginger) and Sox (b/w), 4 month old siblings. Someone hasn't been nice to them and they're frightened of the world. If you have a quiet household and willing to show that humans can be kind, they're available for adoption as a bonded pair. What's better than one cat? Two! ❤️

It's National Endangered Species Day on Friday 17 May 2024. Here's three of my drawings of Australian endangered species, the Western Pygmy Possum (twice) and the Numbat. What endangered species should I draw next? 🤔

Snowy and Inky ❤️ Snowy recently crossed the rainbow bridge 🌈 and this was drawn to show their absolute love for each other. My latest work is a copy of the Goldfinch, originally created by Dutch master Carel Fabritius, who painted it the year he died in 1654 at the young age of 32. I've loved this painting for years. My copy is not as beautiful as the original as the loose painting style was hard to create, but I still like it. Look up his story for more info. I love realism art and will often be asked why I just don't take a photo. I spend so long looking into the eyes of my subjects that I develop a special bond with them. My aim is to focus on the detail of beauty that many of us can overlook with the glance of a photo. I love working on a subject that brings so much joy to others.

To commission a portrait, just contact me. I require a 30% non-refundable deposit* on booking your portrait to secure your booking, with the balance due on completion.

Framing can be included in the price so all you need to do is display your new artwork! Prints of your art will also be available to purchase. I just need good quality, clear photographs to create your artwork.
