How fabulous do these Snuffle Mats look, handmade by the wonderful Debra Braithwaite & her students at TAFE! These mats are for sale in the Precious Pets Boarding Kennels & Cattery office for $25.00! A paw-some gift for your four-legged friend for Christmas 🎄 🎅

What is a Snuffle Mat, you may ask?
A snuffle mat is an enrichment toy, used to provide mental stimulation to your dog. Use small, dry (to avoid making unnecessary mess) treats or biscuits scattered through the mat - allowing your dog to find the treats! You could also use the snuffle mat instead of a food bowl, providing a fun moment of enrichment throughout their day! 🐾

🚨 POWER OUTAGE 🚨

At this time we have a power outage from 8:30AM - 4pm! What does this mean? We are unable to take payments for boarding, unless via CASH! Alternatively, invoices can be paid for via DIRECT DEPOSIT!

Why are we looking for another casual?
- Precious Pets have expanded our facilities! With 50 dog kennels & 25 cat suites we have become increasingly busy and need the help of another casual to keep our day to day operations going smoothly!

🐾 About the job:
- MINIMUM of 10 hrs per week, with an opportunity for a MAXIMUM OF 35 HOURS APPROX. AVAILABLE 🐾

- Weekend work WILL BE INCLUDED in this job!

- Tending to the animals, THIS INCLUDES for both cats and dogs; cleaning of the facilities, watering animals multiple times daily, general maintenance of the kennels / Cattery, customer service and the list goes on!

- Award wages paid

- We DO NOT just feed the dogs & sit around playing with them for the rest of the day! Although playing with them and keeping them happy is a great part of what we do - we have to ensure their stay is comfortable, clean and happy. This includes for BOTH cats and dogs!

- NOTE: 🚨 WE CANNOT DISCLOSE EXACTLY WHAT HOURS / WHAT DAYS THIS POSITION IS - AS IT DIFFERS EVERY WEEK BASED ON OUR CLIENTELE / BUSY PERIODS! 🐾

🐾 What is required?
- You MUST love animals, not just playing with them; this means picking up after them, tending to their needs and making sure they are in top shape!
- MUST be available to work weekends as well as required throughout the week (ideally someone who can put Precious Pets first and foremost!).
- MUST hold a drivers license and have a vehicle in which you will get to and from work.
- MUST have customer service skills
- MUST be able to work independently & as a team
- MUST understand that there is lots of walking involved daily as we have over 50 kennels & a cattery of 25 cat suites!
- MUST have time management skills
- MUST be understanding that the working week WILL fluctuate! We have busy periods, we have some quiet weeks

Work alongside a team of animal lovers and experienced Veterinary Nurse!

We would love to wish a big
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MAGIC! 🎉

Magic and his brother Milo regularly board with us, and have done so for many years! We were lucky enough to spend his birthday with him this year!

After a big breakky, packed with lots of interesting goodies, a run in our Bark Park, a long walk sight-seeing the farm and lots and lots of one on one time with the staff (as well as of course all the kisses and cuddles galore) - we’re sure he’s had a paw-tastic birthday!

Today is a day to celebrate those furry four legged pets that bring so much joy & laughter to our lives. The tail wagging, saliva drooling, adventure seeking kind of animals - DOGS OF COURSE 🐾 From all of us at Precious Pets, Happy International Dog day…We hope all of our followers dogs had a blast today - with extra cuddles, kisses and of course all of the yummy treats a dog could wish for!

A big HAPPY BIRTHDAY to you Mr Wiley! 🎉
Wiley & his sister, Trinity - regularly board with us whilst their parents are out of town! We were lucky enough to spend Wiley’s birthday with him this year! After a special birthday breakky from his parents, a day filled with ball chasing, making friends with all of his neighbours, an abundance of cuddles and kisses and of course some tasty treats - we know he’s had a paw-some birthday!

And of course it wouldn’t be a birthday photo without his sister 🥰

BEING KIND - is one of the many skills we learn in our early years of life! Unfortunately as of late, we have had many people be disrespectful and rude towards our staff upon booking in or arriving to drop off and pick up from our kennels!

Our staff work tirelessly - ensuring ALL animals have a safe, happy and well cared for holiday. We strive to achieve that all pets receive THE BEST care possible whilst with us. We understand that dropping off your. pet/s can be stressful, however our staff (the people caring for your furbabies) don't deserve to be treated how we have recently seen.

Any disrespect, rudeness & just plain nastiness towards our staff - is something we will not stand for at Precious Pets. So please, in a world where you can be anything - be kind 🦋

BARK PARK FUN!

DID YOU KNOW…. Our Bark Park, is a safe, fully fenced area that allows our clients to bring their Precious Pets out for a fun-filled session (owner supervised) - equipped with a sand pit, ball pit, splash pools as well as obstacles! AND WHATS MORE - those boarding can enjoy this fantastic area also - for a small fee, we offer different sessions for a supervised play by our staff at Precious Pets! We have 1/2 hour sessions available, as well as 1 hour sessions available! Ask us about this great opportunity next time you call Precious Pets 🐾

Unfortunately ours has stopped working and we need to wash all of our boarders blankies, towels & bedding so everyone stays warm in this cold weather. 🥶

So I guess by now that quite a few of you are aware that we are planning on hanging up our leads and will eventually move on to the next stage of our lives. We now have our home, livelihood and business up for sale. This has been an extremely difficult decision for us to make and one that has been on and off for some time. At the beginning this was a 10 year plan to start and one that we became so passionate about and loved, that it became 23 years of dedication, hard work and a life style that was well suited to raising our family and living our best life surrounded by pets💕🐾. My dream !
So now it’s time to move over and let someone else with big dreams continue this great place and look after all the beautiful animals that we have had the pleasure of doing. Precious Pets will still continue the same great service and same great smiles with the same great staff but until then and rest assured that your pets are still our No1🐾❤️priority.
We have made some beautiful and long life friends that we will cherish forever and have had the pleasure of meeting the most amazing people that have supported us throughout all of these years and to all of you, A big Thankyou xx. We couldn’t have been as big as we are without you..
But for now, back to business and see you all soon 🐾😎
