Important Announcement

Start Date Postponed.

This has been a very difficult week at Makopup. We have had a death in the family with the passing of our beautiful Mother/Mother in law. And we then had to say a final goodbye to our 15 year old dog.

The weather tomorrow is also looking very wet and windy. We have decided to postpone the start of classes by one week. We hope you can understand.

We are looking forward to starting this round of classes, and hope going forward, we will have 6 weeks of sunshine.

Team Makopup headed down to Bunbury today for a trial. What a day! Frank, who has had a long break from playing agility due to a foot issue was back out playing today and got a fabulous 2nd 🥈 in Open Jumping.

Results from today.

Kate and Roy 2x 2nd 🥈 🥈places in Novice Jumping and collected her Jumping Dog title. Off to excellent jumping for Roy.

Jodi and Mallee 2nd 🥈 in Novice Jumping.

Ashlee and Dug 2nd 🥈 in Excellent Jumping.

Frank and Biscuit 2nd 🥈 Open Jumping.

Drum 🥁roll, Meeghan and Mooeditj 2 x 1st 🥇 🥇 places in Excellent Jumping!

Carolyne and Jammie Dodger 0 clear runs but lots to love with his runs and even more to work on.

The WA State Agility trials are on all day Saturday and Sunday at Dogs West. They still need stewards. As there are no classes this weekend come and watch the Makopup dogs in action.

Today we were proud to see Jodi and Kate go clear in an agility trial.
A first place to Kate and Roy and a second place to Jodi and Mallee. congratulations on your first clear rounds! There will be many more to come. Well done to Ashlee and Dug who did a great job on some challenging Excellent level courses.

Jammie Dodger and Carolyne had a fantastic day at the Southern River Trial today, with 2 first places.

If you are keen to get a front row seat to all the action, The Agility Club of WA have a trial next Sunday and require stewards. It is not at all scary and you only need to donate either a morning or afternoon of your time. You will be given lunch and refreshments and get to watch ringside. Let me know if you can help.

Hello all,

We are currently under a bushfire watch and act. The fire started at lunchtime today in Bedfordale, on the opposite side of Albany Hwy. It has stayed that side of the highway and the fire crews have been tackling it for many hours.
If we are still in the orange zone tomorrow morning, we will postpone the start of classes. We don’t want to risk anyone’s safety as fires can change very quickly. We are hopeful that they can get it under control.

We will monitor throughout the night and post a definite answer for you by 7am as to whether training will go ahead.

Fingers crossed that our amazing fire fighters stay safe and get on top of this blaze.

We had a whale of a time in Bremer Bay and are excited to be home and starting classes this weekend.

We apologise, but there has been another issue with Jotforms. It did not take payments from everyone. About 10 people did not have funds taken out. I have emailed all those involved with our Bank Details for you to make payment.

Training Night!

Just a Saturday evening playing the game we love. Biscuit 2nd place in Masters Jumping! Little slip in the final tunnel slowed her down a bit! Thankfully she was ok.

Festival of Dogs Swan Valley Vet Thanks to our photographer - Sophie. Great to see the future of agility in such confident, enthusiastic, young kids!

Edit: Dug is a champion! He and Ashlee got another first place! That’s 2 on one day in their first day of trialling! Huge congratulations News just in from Geraldton, Dug and Ashlee had a magnificent run, and in her 2nd ever attempt got a clear and first place in Novice jumping. Makopup are so happy to see how Ashlee and Dug have bonded as a team. What a huge achievement. When we first met Dug, he came to us for some behavioural training, he was reactive a little worried about people. Well look at him now! Huge Congratulations Ashlee and Dug the first of many more clear runs!
