JAPAN TO KIAH PARK
We as a business, family and team of staff were very proud to give our Japanese visitors the best Australian Horse Riding camp with country hospitality.
They experienced scenic horse rides while learning the basics of horsemanship, embraced animals and the outdoors with camp fires, bush walks and breathing in the fresh Aussie air.
What a way to wrap up our 6 week camp block.
Our next holiday camp is:
September 14 to September 21

CAMPFIRE NIGHT had an amazing vibe this evening! They were an excited bunch with so many camp friends coming back together.
While our regular camp kids know Kiah trails too well, here’s some recent trail ride footage to give family, friends and fans at home an idea of where the kids will be riding these holidays.
This particular group of riders are our horsemanship lesson participants who all progressed so well and wrapped up the term of lessons with a Saturday trail ride… plus there’s a few Keough kids from Kiah in the mix.
We do still have some availability in our 5-Day holiday camp starting the Tuesday straight after the Easter weekend.
Enjoy the scenery ☺️

CANDID CATCH UP
We caught up quickly with a few of our regular camp kids just before they ventured to gymkhana this morning.
You’ll meet Abbey, Evie and Bailey along with our family. These three campers are an example of kids who treat Kiah Park like their home away from home… and we love having them here as they are such great kids, eager to improve their riding, make friends and simply have allot of fun!

VET VISIT
Our camp kids enjoyed a surprise experience today! They learnt about castration of donkeys and horses.
We gave the kids the option to watch the castration of our Donkeys and of Ducati (the youngest of the brumby family to be gelded) and the majority wanted to see what it was all about. They were extremely engaged as our vet Ben performed the procedures.
It was wonderful to see the kids embrace the experience. A huge thankyou to Ben from Cooroora Vets who welcomed the kids to watch and learn. You can imagine with the number of horses we have, how important it is to have a fantastic vet.
Now the kids are off on their second ride of the day. ☺️
We still have availability in our last December and January camps… visit www.kiahpark.com.au

FUN 🤩
Our most advanced camp riders and their horses were treated to a swim this week.
A dam swim is always a blast for the kids and something all Kiah camp riders can look forward to when they reach that riding level.
Some of the Kiah horses are real fish 😉

SURPRISE SWIM
Our most advanced riding group of camp kids enjoyed a surprise swim with their horses today!
Some of our horses really love the water and the kids had an absolute blast!!

Cantering Camp Kids @ Kiah
“This is just a snippet of the fun our group three kids had on trail this morning.
The kids sure did have fun cantering up hill, cruising the scenic trails and working on aspects of their riding… and I was lucky enough our fabulous cook Merrilee babysat so I could enjoy a ride with the kids!
There are still several spots available in next week’s camp so you can pop online and book.
We are loving the fine days this week. The kids are having a super time. They have the long ride tomorrow followed by a sausage sizzle over the fire, topped off with some damper and outdoor activity by the dam before they move into evening meal and night time activities/ games and finally bed! 😴

NOT RIDING WEATHER
It’s been a wet few days to say the least at Kiah Park with upwards of 830mls (33.4 inches)… our rain gauge didn’t keep up.
Here are some snippets of the amount of water that has roared through our hills. Not all footage is taken at the peak of water levels however it gives you an indication of what’s been happening.
The force of the water has created a great movement of soil and overall a bit of damage but most importantly all 80 horses and animals are safe and the sun is ‘trying’ to peak through this morning.
No surprise there is no power at the moment but all is ok and we will keep you posted on how many of our camp kids’ favourite four legged friends are going.

IS IT A PONY... IS IT A UNICORN 🦄 ... IS IT BUGGY???
For all the KIAH Camp Kids who LOVE Buggy and have had fun playing with Kennedi... I thought they may like this little video!
Kennedi had a very tough start to life... not only did she survive she is now kicking goals and riding unicorns 😉
Thanks BUGGY for helping make our little girl’s 5th birthday very special... what fun to ride a unicorn at your school equestrian centre! 🦄
