During a weekly phone call to catch up and have a yarn whilst on his recent trip to Canada rodeoing. Tommy approached me about a sponsorship moving forward into the 2025 season. I didn't hesitate!

Tommy will be heading back to Canada in 2025 to chase his passion and give it a red hot go.

That time of year again!

Not long until Christmas!

I will be aiming to finish up on the 20th and be back on the 6th.

Congratulations to the Candelo Campdraft Association Inc committee and everyone involved for another amazing draft! I think everyone can agree the drafting we seen on the weekend was some of the best we've seen all year.

Went and seen this big gelding today who had suffered a pretty hefty subsolar abscess. Didn't have leather pads on hand so we had to get creative! Cleaned and Treated the wound and nailed a rubber comfort pad on.

CHRISTMAS CLOSURE

Hi all, that time of year again! Ive done my best to get through all that i can in the last few weeks to make sure everyones upto date before the Christmas break!

i am fully booked for next week and will be planning on being back on monday the 8th of Jan.

The Barefoot Trim! Bit of a before and after to start the week🤩 "its not what you take off its what you leave". as much as i pride myself in shoeing horses the barefoot trim is just as important! The fine line we walk between getting a good enough bevel on the outer wall to prevent cracks. relieving enough sole pressure, But not taking too much sole and causing lame or tender footed horses! There's definitely an art behind it and it's very satisfying when you get it right !

December 2022, hoof cracked right to the coronet and not being able to bare weight - September 2023, back to barefoot and running around the paddock! Rewarding experience being able to help this mare be sound and happy again. Even though she is left with a slight deformity of her foot both owner and i are happy with the outcome!

Todays project! Big TB gelding suffering from low heels which was causing soreness in back and hind end. shod him 7 weeks ago with 3 degree wedges and had instant improvements and was able to be in fulltime work! as we know wedges cant stay on forever so he has graduated to a quarter clip heart-bar shoe
