The babies are six weeks old.

They have had a big week with many new experiences - first time travelling in a crate, first car trip, first vet visit, first immunisation, microchipped, first bath and blow dry, first time groomed (brush and combed), first time they had their paws shaved, third time wormed, second time nails have been cut.

All of this was done without any histrionics or tantrums.

They are brave, confident and outgoing little munchkins. Good socialisation pays off.

Dinner time for the babies.

The babies are 5 weeks old today. They greedily eat out of their bowl. They run around, fight, growl, bark and three of them have learned to escape from the whelping box.
We still have a couple of puppies available.

The babies are 4 weeks old today. They have grown into proper little puppies and are beginning to develop personalities. They had their second round of worm tablets. They are starting to lap out of a dish. They are playing together and met the grandchildren on the weekend.

The babies are three weeks old today.
They are up on their feet and running around the whelping box. It was really hard trying to take their photos.
They bark and growl. They were wormed last week and had their toenails cut today.
They are all beautiful little kids

The babies are now two weeks old.

The “Golden Girls” have opened their eyes.

Most are trying to get up on their feet are are actively “running” around the whelping box.

A couple are trying out their voices and are attempting to bark or growl.

They are so cute at this age.

I’ve been a bit slack in posting photos of Jojo’s babies. She had a litter of 8 puppies on 29th October - 5 girls and 3 boys.

Unfortunately one of the boys grew his wings after two days. All the others are strong and feisty and putting on weight daily. Jojo is doing a superb job looking after such a large litter.

She has two fawn girls, two black and white Particolour girls, a black and white boy, a black and tan boy, and the one we lost was a fawn boy.

NB For some reason I’m missing the photo of the black and tan boy.

These are full siblings to Precious (AUSTRALIAN CHAMPION Beljala Precious Commodity).

LADY IN WAITING

Jojo is due to have her puppies on Sunday. An x-ray last Friday showed that she is expecting 8 to 9 babies so she and I will be very busy caring for them. She will be getting lots of TLC to help her cope with a litter this size.

She’s such a lovely girl and a super mother.

This is a repeat mating that produced “Precious” (Australian Champion Beljala Precious Commodity) so we are expecting that we may have some superb little bundles.

Good luck to all our friends who are competing for NSW Dog, Puppy or Neuter Of The Year at Orchard Hills tonight.

Unfortunately, even though we were entered we couldn’t attend with Precious (CH Beljala Precious Commodity), who had qualified to compete with multiple Class In Show awards in each of the age classes (Baby, Puppy and Minor) she has competed in to date.

Jim and I still have Covid. We are very sad that we had to miss out on showcasing our beautiful girl.

Home from an epic day at the Advance Sydney Royal Easter Dog Show 2024 General Specials day.

It was a long and tiring day as we were in the dog pavilion from 7am to 5pm but we spent it with good friends.

I was very proud of Chase (AUSTRALIAN GRAND CHAMPION Beljala Game Set And Match). He gave his all and showed his little heart out. That is all I could ask of him.

We were not shortlisted for group but we were in very good company as many good dogs were left standing in the ring.

We were thrilled to be selected as Best Of Breed last Saturday and we’re honoured to be representing the breed in the group line up in front of such a large crowd.

Even though we didn’t bring home any ribbons yesterday (having brought home so many the week before) I know I bought home the best dog.

Congratulations to all winners.

Thank you to my family for travelling down from Newcastle and the Central Coast to cheer Chase and me on.
