We've finally had consistent weight gains again!
Everyone is happy and starting to interact. They're now cheeky 3 week old!

Update: Babies stable overnight.
All have had a good wash this morning.

Prancer has remained stable overnight. She seems a bit better in spirits this morning.
3 others have pulled up sick with similar symptom (Dasher, V***n and Rudolf). They’ve also moved to the puppy High Dependency Unit on tube/ syringe feeds, medication for tummy, heat pad (puppies can’t regulate their temperature, and sick puppies particularly can get cold very easily).

One of the babies (Prancer) went downhill overnight, she’s currently in isolation on tube feeds, medication and subcut fluids.

I am so sorry to all those awaiting responses from me/ sending delayed replies, it’s been a chaotic week. We’ve had escapee dogs, driving to and from Melbourne for specialist vet appointments, deciding to stay in Melbourne to plan for a c section with the repro specialist, which included daily (sometimes twice daily) blood tests and ultrasound, arranging dog sitting, organising puppy pick ups, still going to work. To punctuate me stress levels, I’ve developed shingles 😅

Update 1.
Little D had his appointment yesterday. I haven’t received the official report from the cardiologist yet, but the summary is his PDA is closed, he does have an ongoing murmur due to turbulent blood flow that should resolve with time. Shouldn’t require further operations. Will be rechecked in a year by the cardiologist. I’ll do a separate post when I get the report to confirm ❤️

Update 2.
Our final litter for the year, and a special one. The LARGEST litter I’ve ever had! And it’s a RABBIT LITTER!
Juney welcomed not 1, not 2, not 3 but EIGHT babies today by elective Caesarian! We have been seeing the lovely specialists at Doncaster Vet Hospital over the past 4 weeks as June has had morning sickness throughout.
Given it’s the Christmas season and there’s a total of 9, with Juney being my little Dancer, these babies are our Christmas Reindeers 🦌🎄

It takes a village, one of our village is helping with Little D by taking care of him for the next few days and taking him to pensinsula for his cardiology appointment tomorrow.
