Employment Opportunity

The Bendigo Pet Retreat is looking for an enthusiastic person to join our small team. We are a locally owned Boarding Kennel and Cattery, and we pride ourselves in providing quality care for your pets. We are seeking a reliable and committed person to join our team

Before applying, please ensure you meet these criteria
MUST
Be able to work weekends
Have competent and current computer skills
Be able to work Public Holidays
Be fit and healthy and able to do the physically strenuous job
Have a current drivers license and own car
If you answered no to any of these questions unfortunately you will not be asked for an interview

Preferred but not mandatory
Experience at boarding kennels or doggy day care
Experience with customers, answering phone, customer service
Experience working in small team and able to work independently
Ability to show initiative and confidence to ask questions

Role
Animal care including but not limited to
cleaning pens, feeding, administering medication, monitoring health, facilitating playtime, bathing, brushing, and giving affection
Customer Service including but not limited to
checking animals in and out, accepting and processing payments, answering phones, returning emails, showing customers around the facilities

General Cleaning of kitchen, staff facilities, office
Maintenance – noticing when things are broken and fixing if possible or notifying management
Gardening – mowing and maintaining property, pruning, weeding etc

Role
This position is part time we are seeking someone for 2 or 3 days per week. Preferably someone who is flexible with the days of work

On the job training will be provided
Renumeration is based on the Miscellaneous award
