It is hard to believe it is almost two weeks since 2024 NATIONAL HERD DEVELOPMENT CO-OP Victorian Winter Fair Judge Lachlan Fry crowned his Senior Champion.

But it is not hard to appreciate the class of that Senior Champion - Rockwood Park Atley Cretonne EX92-2E, exhibited by Matt and Nicola Templeton of View Fort Holsteins!

Breeding back to Rockwood Park Warden Cretonne VG88 6* and Rockwood Park Achilles Felicity EX3E 19*; there is no doubt that her pedigree holds true to her form.

Her Pazzle daughter will sell this November at the 'Victories of View Fort' Sale - presenting a unique opportunity to buy into one of Australia's premier cow families.

"The history behind this cow is pretty big. She's still got a Rockwood Park prefix.

I guess growing up...Frank Sorraghan for me is like an idol. And to have him to breed her after how many years he bred animals...for her to carry his prefix and to still be acknowledged in 2024 is pretty big.

She's got a big pedigree back to Warden Cretonne and then Achilles Felicity; I'd nearly say she is one of the closest descendants of Warden Cretonne."

With the NHD VWF 2024 done and dusted for another year and clean up well underway, we'd like to thank all of our Exhibitors, Sponsors and Supporting Partners for what was another exceptional year.

Special thanks to Chitt, Patto and Jamie for everything they do keeping all the cattle moving in and out of the ring and also to Mark and Sean for all that they do at the desk keeping the ribbons moving and around the shed with Rego checks. And lastly to the young Morgan girls who did an impeccable job at keeping the ring clean.

Finally, without the help of our dedicated team of set up and pack down specialists most of whom have been with us for the entire VWF journey none of this would happen. They turn up tirelessly year after year and get the job done and for that we're extremely grateful.

But it is not hard to appreciate the class of that Senior Champion - Rockwood Park Atley Cretonne EX92-2E, exhibited by Matt and Nicola Templeton of View Fort Holsteins! Breeding back to Rockwood Park Warden Cretonne VG88 6* and Rockwood Park Achilles Felicity EX3E 19*; there is no doubt that her pedigree holds true to her form. Her Pazzle daughter will sell this November at the 'Victories of View Fort' Sale - presenting a unique opportunity to buy into one of Australia's premier cow families. Please join us in once again congratulating Matt and Nicola Templeton and their team on their success at the 2024 NHD Victorian Winter Fair! See below Matt Templeton's reflection on the special cow that is Rockwood Park Atley Cretonne EX92-2E: "The history behind this cow is pretty big. She's still got a Rockwood Park prefix. I guess growing up...Frank Sorraghan for me is like an idol. Plenty of action happening overnight at the NATIONAL HERD DEVELOPMENT CO-OP Victorian Winter Fair! Not long now until we officially kick off this year's show with the ProDairy Youth Contests from 10am! See you at the Fair!

So back at the start of last week, we had some very cool people give up their time to perform up in the dining room. (Attached is a small snippet of the hour or so they played for) Thanks to the numerous people who took the time to go up, check them out, clap, cheer and support them. Thanks to Togs, Bec, Zannan, Hannah and Kendall.

If you're not busy on the night of Monday the 26th at 7pm and you're at the Fair (or if you're not at the Fair and you just want to come down) We've got some very talented individuals from within our industry busting out some songs up in the dining room for an hour. So come up and grab a meal and a drink and check out Togs, Bec and Zoot.

If you're kicking around the Fair on the night of Monday the 26th Of June we've got a bit of live music happening up in the Dining Room courtesy of some very talented individuals. Come up for a Beer and a meal and catch Togs, Bec and Zoot performing some classics and if you're musically inclined perhaps belt out a tune of your own.

The 2023 NHD VWF is nearly here! *Entries for the Fair are due on Friday 2nd of June *Cattle can enter the Exhibition Centre on the 25th of June *Tuesday the 27th - Junior Judging to commence @ 12 noon followed by an Exhibitor Dinner from 6.30pm. *Wednesday 28th - Heifer Show to commence @ 10am followed by the Power Of Women In Dairy afternoon Tea in the upstairs dining room straight after Judging finishes. The Elders Winter Opportunity Sale will start in the upstairs dining room from 6.30pm. *Thursday the 29th - In Milk Judging to commence @ 10am
