Little Missy was in at the clinic today to have her blood pressure taken. We do this so we can monitor her heart and medicate appropriately. She is so brave! We love our older patients. 👵🏻🫶🏼🐾

We pay for every hour worked, work a 4 day week, take a proper lunch break every day and work from 8.30am to 5.30pm with no after hours - unless you want to.

The importance of vaccinations is so much more than just prevention of diseases. The vet will perform a health and wellness check prior to all vaccinations so that if anything on examination is abnormal, we can discuss treatment/preventative care plans. This is to help give your pets a long and happy life.

One of our lovely clients with her beloved tripod Purr-Monster were in recently for a solensia injection. Solensia is a monthly injection that helps with the alleviation of pain associated with osteoarthiritis. All proceeds earned from the sales of metals and paper recycling are donated to to fund meals for disadvantaged people- Sustainable Salons donates more than 5,500 meals every month!

A big CONGRATUALTIONS to Laura Newey who has been nominated by her clinic for our VROM award.
Laura is receiving this award in March 2024. She was nominated by her colleague Dr Susan Bibby.
Laura receives this award in recognition of her amazing love and care of clients and patients alike in clinic. Laura's nomination was incredibly well written and made our entire team smile. It's clear she is well loved by everyone in her clinic. We can't share it all, but here are some highlights from the Pro's and Con's list we received about Laura:
Pro's - Birthday Cob Loaf and meetings snack bringer. Incredible attention to detail. Client oriented, making an amazing first impression and always ensures clients are booked in. Creative mastermind - making sympathy cards, bravery certificates, drug cheat sheets and ensures the stationary is matchy matchy!
Con's - Her Dog has taken over the background of every computer in clinic. The bravery certificates she creates for staff members are not always appropriate for client viewing!
The hilarious list served to demonstrate not only how much the team appreciate Laura's work, but also who she is as a person. Over all, Laura is an integral part of the team and takes the clinic mission to heart: "To care like they are our own - She cares for all of us, our clients and their pets like she cares for her little dog Louie."

Christmas & New Years closure – We will be CLOSED from 2pm on Friday the 22nd of December and will reopen at 9am on Tuesday the 2nd of January.
Medication or food to order? Please see the cut off times below.
Compounded Medication: Monday 18th before 3pm
Other medication & food: Wednesday 20th before 4pm
These will need to be collected prior to 2pm on Friday the 22nd.
For any emergencies during our closure please call 5439 5066 and follow the prompts or alternatively you can call your next closest veterinary clinic.

It's that time of year when we start celebrating the festive season! This might be a grand time for us however we must think of our furry companions during this month.
As fireworks ignite and dry storms roll in during the Summer, this can actually be a stressful time for our pets. The loud booms of fireworks and the grumbles of thunder can be quite loud to the sensitive ears of our dogs and cats.
There are a few ways you can help your furry family members this month.
-Keep your pets indoors (often they become frightened and try to escape if no one's home).
-Distract them with their favourite toys and treats.
-Close the blinds and try to keep them in the quietest room of the house.
-Dog or Cat specific pheromones (Feliway/Adaptil)
Please seek veterinary advice for further treatment if required.
Unfortunately our grooming competition was spammed by a fake myvet account.
Luckily we took screenshots of all the gorgeous animals that were entered into the competition!

We have had a wonderful response from our fabulous clients and friends to our 'Wishing Tree' to support women and children at Annie North this Christmas. However, there are still plenty of baubles to select - so if you can afford to purchase an extra gift this Christmas please drop in and grab one!
