Shane Fliedner is a highly successful Racehorse Trainer at Fliedner's Racing, located in Bendigo, Victoria. Shane has been surrounded by, and worked with thoroughbreds for his entire life, particularly throughout his time as one of country Victoria's leading jockeys. He was a competitive rider for eighteen years during which time he won ten Jockey Premierships in Northern Victoria and rode winners

at all Northern courses as well as in Adelaide and Sydney. It was a natural progression for Shane to move onto training racehorses and he has trained Group & Listed winners, Metropolitan winners and countless Country winners. In the time from 1998, since purchasing and developing his Bendigo complex, Shane has transformed many yearlings into successful racehorses including Group, Listed, Metropolitan and Country winners. As the driving force behind Fliedner's Racing, Shane personally devises and supervises all training of all the horses.

“I love to see a horse come into my stable and grow and develop to reach its full potential. Co-ordinating the training with a "Hands On" approach and a genuine feel for his horses, Shane oversees all aspects of his horses wellbeing and training. The welfare of Shane's horses is a priority and this philosophy is one of the reasons why he is a respected and successful professional Racehorse Trainer. With his determination, forward thinking, experience and thorough knowledge of the racehorse, Shane will continue to draw on these assets to continue to find success in racing.

Our lovely Kermadec x Patina gelding is a half brother to St Edwards Crown and Viridine, and closely related to Group 1 winner: Zapateo.
