WOW! 🤩 A great opportunity to meet some Lapphunds and breeders/owners this week 6th - 9th June at the DogsQld Grounds at Durack. 🐕🥇(We’ll be there all weekend with Ollivander)

A fantastic entry this weekend for Yuggera Canine Club conformation shows. Including a special “FCI” international show 🏆
7 entered Thurs (day time)
7 Friday (night)
10 Saturday (FCI show, arvo/night)
8 Sunday (day time)

These shows have over 700 dogs entered of all breeds! 😱 Theres judges from all over the world including Luxembourg, Uruguay, Canada, Finland, USA, Iceland, North Macedonia & Australia. 🌎 Who will be crowned Best in Show?! (A Lappie we hope!)

After 9 months off from shows we jumped back into things with some cluster show weekends.

Safe to say Olli hadn’t forgot what nuggets were and how to Bork his way around the ring - achieving 7 Best of Breeds from 9 shows.
Our higlights included:

✨Tweed Valley KC Cluster - Runner up Best in Group (BIG2) and Best of Breed at all 3 shows.

✨Working Dog Club of Qld Championship Show- Best of Breed (13pts)

OMG this makes my heart as a breeder SO happy.
Luna lives in Canada 🇨🇦 and is living her best Lapphund life in the first big snow dump of the year. ❄️

Luna is also known as “Deerlane Bee Fawning in Love” from our Bees litter (Ariana x Ukko).
She was the tiniest puppy I’ve had born at Deerlane and needed intensive care for her first few weeks of life. These beautiful moments are exactly why I pour my heart and soul into my puppies. 🩵

😱 Want to meet 100 Finnish Lapphunds?
Well, you’re in luck!

Save the date: Saturday 4th Nov.
Location: KCC park in Skye, Victoria.

💙 The Finnish Lapphund Club of Victoria is holding its 10th anniversary show! 🎉
We have a fabulous judge flying in from the UK and breeders/owners from across the country will be converging en masse to celebrate.

🐕 FLCV will have a meet the breeds stand and there will be lappie entries for the Show in all ages, colours and from a large array of breeders that you can watch strut their stuff.

Never in the breeds history in Australia have we had such a large number of Finnish Lapphunds in one location, so it’s the perfect time to get your fix.

❕The FLCV is also holding a once off special “Northern Breeds” show on Friday 3rd Nov, which will have a large number of lappie entries too.
We’ll be there on Friday, Saturday and Sunday with a couple of our dogs.
-Breed judging on Friday starts at 9AM
-Breed judging on Saturday starts at 8:30AM

🚫 Please leave your dogs at home, there will be multiple dog shows happing inside the pavilion, with hundreds of other dogs. It’s a crazy environment for dogs who aren’t accustomed and can cause disruptions to other exhibitors.

Also, dont be offput if breeders or owners can’t talk to you straight away. We’re likely about to dart in to the ring and will be frantically preparing and grooming dogs. Ask when would suit for a chat or pop back around when we’re looking calmer. There will be FLCV members manning the breed stand who will be more than happy to assist as well.

Our girls come with their first vaccination, microchip, ACES eye exam, up to date worming, and a health certificate. An information sheet with prior and upcoming worming and vaccination dates is also included. Our girls will also head home with a bag of goodies and some food to help them settle in.

Ongoing advice and support from us is also part of taking home one of our puppies where we are able to provide it. The Finnish Lapphund community is also incredibly welcoming and supportive to fellow owners!

Our girls will be placed into the homes we believe are going to suit them the most. They are very people oriented already and we will likely have a range of energy levels.

A big sigh of relief!
Today our newest addition made the first big step to prepare for his move downunder to Australia 🇦🇺 ✈️.

🖤 “Kailo” - Alnopa Ukonvasara 🖤

Kailo left his breeder Susanne Håheim (Alnopa) in Norway 🇳🇴 and landed safely in the USA 🇺🇸 with Jackie Barbour (Midnight Island).
Kailo is shared with Mel Curtis (Tundrai).

Kailo will stay in the USA for a few months while his testing and import requirements are sorted, and then will be coming to live with our pack 🐾

Exciting times ahead! We can’t wait to give our fluffy teddy bear all the cuddles and see what he can achieve ❤️
