My name is Sarah, and I am a highly motivated, enthusiastic and experienced animal lover. I have worked with a range of animals, in particular, dog, cats, guinea pigs, rabbits and horses. I understand the need that pets need to be loved, exercised and played with to remain happy and healthy. I have completed a Bachelor of Animal and Veterinary Bioscience, and worked in professional animal husbandr

y roles including working for Australian Border Force with their customs dogs. This means I have extensive practical experience coupled with scientific knowledge to provide animals with the best possible care. I am comfortable administering medications, and have experience with animals with special needs ranging from anxiety to broken bones, and everything in-between.

*Please note* - Spaces are extremely limited as I don’t want multiple clients dogs I don’t know at the same time for extended periods. This is to keep all animals safe as well as provide the love and care to each one that they deserve. Also please note that I have my own dog (staffy X) who lives predominantly outside so your dog will be treated the same as him of staying with us. In bad weather they will of course be allowed inside but will be closely monitored as I also have 2 indoor cats.

To my wonderful clients in Mandalay and surrounds:

Unfortunately I’ve made the tough decision to stop pet sitting for the foreseeable future, as of February 2025.

This is due to a number of reasons, but mostly I’m wanting to spend more quality time with my own family (humans, cats and dogs).

Everyone with a current booking until February will still receive my services, but unfortunately I do not have much availability to take on new bookings.

I’ve loved every minute of being so heavily involved in my community, and hope to keep in touch with many of you in the future 🩵

🪻 AUGUST WRAP UP 🪻

This month I had fewer clients away for longer periods of time.

I will be on a mini hiatus for the next month or two as I’m getting married!!! Very much looking forward to this next chapter in life.

Due to increasing demand for my pet sitting services and some personal events happening in my life at the moment I regret to announce that I will not be taking new clients for the remainder of the year. If you are an existing client, please feel free to reach out, but keep in mind availability will be quite limited.

If you have an existing booking with me (meet and greet conducted, and deposit paid), I am still able to care for your furry friends 🐾

I hope to be back in early 2025, taking bookings from new and existing clients as usual!

June has come and gone and we’re definitely starting to feel the cold!! 🥶

Despite this I’ve still managed to walk lots of dogs (dodging the horrible weather lately) and get lots of cuddles from some cats as well.

I also had the amazing experience of looking after my very first reef tank! Special shoutout to these clients for trusting me and educating me on all the individual needs of their fish and corals 🐠

It was a quiet month in May at Mandalay Pet Sitting.

Although there was only a small number of house visits conducted, there were a total of 6 meet and greets conducted for new clients!!

Looking forward to more cat and dog cuddles in June, and my very first job looking after a reef! 🪸 🐠

🟢 May: lots of availability
🟡 June: booking up quick! Completely booked out 28th-30th (pending meet and greets/deposits)
🟡 July: starting to fill up
🟡 August: limited availability for house visits. Full availability for pet sitting
🔴 September: unavailable
🟢 October: lots of availability
🟡 November: filling up quickly
🟠 December: filling up VERY quickly! Completely booked out from 27th-31st

I will be having a cancellation list for the Christmas/New Years period so please get in contact if you would like to get your name on it. You don’t need a confirmed booking to conduct a meet and greet 🐾

I’ve taken a bit of a break myself over Easter to recharge but getting ready for more beautiful animals to care for in April!

💲 NEW YEAR, NEW PRICES 💲

Unfortunately in 2024, I’ve had to slightly raise my prices to keep up with increasing demand and the costs associated with running a pet care business.

For pet sitting (boarding) services, prices will now start at $45/night for one dog.

For house visiting services, prices will start at $30/visit for one animal. Travel fees apply to homes located outside of Beveridge.

Note: additional charges apply if more than one animal needs looking after. For a quote specific to your fur-family’s needs, please reach out via this page.

It definitely has not been a slow start to the new year. I’ve been busy looking after lots of furkids and life outside of pet sitting has been hectic as well!

2024 is a busy year for me personally - I will be getting surgery in January and getting married in September! Due to this, I am slightly decreasing my capacity so I can continue to give the best care possible to your pets 🐾

🎄 DECEMBER ACTIVITY 🎄

Lassie’s arrival today officially marks the start of the silly season here at Mandalay Pet Sitting 💗

While I won’t be closed, I will be busy attending to a higher than normal number of pets and making time for me and my family, so my responses will be slower than usual (for new clients).

I will still be uploading regularly on my Instagram , so give me a follow there if you want to keep up with our shenanigans!

❌A reminder that we are BOOKED OUT for all services from 24th December 2023 - 13th January 2024. The cancellation list is closed now also. For those already on the cancellation list, your spot is still being held. ❌
