MORE KITTENS in the shelter! We have 4 x 8 week old (tomorrow) kittens. Two champagne coloured and 2 gingers. There is a girl and boy of each. Mork and Mindy are champagne and Marti and Mandi are ginger. They are hard to tell apart! The little champagne boy (Mork) has a hold on him already.

DIXON is a big, handsome four year old sooky boy who has had a tough break. His owners have passed away and he would like a new forever home. MISHKA NEEDS A NEW LOVING HOME. Her owner has had to move too many times and has made the difficult decision that it's not fair to her as she has to move once again. She's a loving, intelligent and dignified cat. She communicates well and has a very sweet way of talking. She's not a lap cat but will happily sit next to you or sleep on your bed if you like. She's good at understanding commands. She's been trained not to hunt birds or lizards, but praised for catching rats and mice when there has been infestations. She's always been friends with frogs. She is 12 years old in January, healthy and sleeps a lot although she does love exploring her surroundings too. She's an inside/outside cat and gets on with some cats but not others and the same with dogs who are relaxed with her. She's lived both in town and in the bush and has always been kept inside at night. She's a great favourite with the Pets for Life volunteers and would make a wonderful companion.

This is Disco, an 18 month old long haired boy. A quiet, childfree home is needed for this timid but loving, shy guy. He does love other cats so a home with others would be ideal for him as he loves to play and enjoys the company. Would suit indoor living. BOOTS AND OTTER are 14 month old shy brothers who pretend that they don't like people but enjoy being patted. They like the company of other cats and it would probably be good if they could be adopted together. They have been separated for a few weeks now but still feel more secure with other cats. They will need a lot of patience and love but we're sure that the result will be rewarding. They have been in the shelter for several months now and really deserve a home of their own. VALE - SIMON PEARSON. Simon was our photographer and the writer for our Echo ads for many, many years. A sweet and gentle, man who had infinite patience while waiting to get just the right picture. He was waiting for his cats to pass before him and that's just what happened. He loved all critters and the wonders of nature. Simon passed away peacefully at home after a very long and exhausting illness. He was 88. We will miss you Simon. These are a couple of his photos.

TIBBY is a lovely 5 year old female tabby and white girl whose owner is devastated at having to give her up. However, circumstances are such that it is not possible to keep her. She's a big girl (weighing in at 5.7 kg) so a little overweight. She's curious and reasonably confident. Tibby loves affection and would be a wonderful addition to any family.
