The Hunter Valley Equestrian Centre is located in Black Hill at the end of the F3 Express way; we are located 1.5 hours from Sydney between Maitland and Newcastle at the foot of the Hunter Valley. Here at the Hunter Valley Equestrian centre we have everything needed to educate and train riders and horses . Unfortunately we do not school horses. There is a full size indoor dressage arena, covered r

ound yard, outdoor arena, small jumping area,bush trails, fenced day paddocks, many large paddocks ,stables, wash bay and holding yards. Shaun France (female)is an Equestrian Australia Level 3 Dressage ,Level 1 General Coach and Coach Educator.Shaun is committed to the sport of dressage and the training of riders at all levels. Shaun is currently competing 2 Beautiful Warmblood horses that she bred herself.She is very much in touch with competitions and competitors. Lessons are $80.00 per hr private.Shaun is available most days .The covered arena allows lessons to continue in all weather.The location of HVEC is perfect for most people.

Learning Dressage is not an easy discipline.
Learning Dressage as a child can be really difficult.
So many things to remember.
A team effort is essential.
My grandson Hugo 8yrs rode in the Prep 1&2 last Saturday at Apdc.
The weather was terrible but we ignored the rain and did the job.
Hugo’s pony Merrindale De Niro is experienced and fantastic for a young rider.
Dressage is so good for learning a sport that requires concentration,control and understanding of dimensions and symmetry.
Congratulations Hugo .
So many positive comments and friendly people supporting you.

Yesterday I transported one of my beautiful horses on a short journey from Black Hill to Heatherbrae.
This required great Skill and concentration due to the overpass and,the Taro bridge and merging to the Hexham bridge.
There is no respect for the gap we leave for breaking and it’s like there is no tomorrow.
I can only imagine the carnage at Christmas and holiday time.
The roads can’t surly cope.
I’m sure I will hear the sirens and see the westpac chopper going full time.😬🫤🙄

Tuesday the 16th
Thursday the 18th and Tuesday the 23rd of January - all days will be held between 9am-4pm

What to expect:

- Two Group lessons per day in a controlled riding environment

- Dressage basics and the correct riding positions

- The beginnings of jumping

- Horse Care and Management

Riders must have their own ponies/horses.

$77.00 per day.
