What a little ripper this Frankel filly is turning into!
Beautiful winter evening light yesterday on farm. Love the light but can't wait for the spring days and summer nights ahead...
We're chuffed to share news of the first 12 foals arriving this season! It’s a proven sire run for the newborns so far with sires from the top ranks of racing. Champions like Zoustar, Frankel, and Snitzel, through to Gr.1 producers Proisir, Pierro, Capitalist, All Too Hard, Starspangledbanner and The Autumn Sun. A massive congratulations to all the owners – plenty of quality for the start of breeding season!
Some mares are just that little extra bit special. This is Veronica Jane (I Am Invincible) in the mist this morning, she's owned by Graham & Linda Huddy's Peachester Lodge Veronica is a full-sister to Gr.1 winning 3YO Media Sensation and is due to foal her first foal tomorrow (an Anamoe). We foaled Veronica in our first foaling season here in Australia in 2018 (see pic of her as a foal - adorable). She is a queen of a mare in everyway & we're all on hot-bricks waiting for her new arrival!
Introducing GREG GRIFFIN riding for LIME COUNTRY on team MAGIC MILLIONS!!
Greg Griffin, alongside his wife Jo, runs Lime Country Thoroughbreds in Blandford, but their future hearts may well lie in the cutting pen. After a nine-year hiatus from riding Greg has caught a serious case of “Cutting Fever” under the guidance of trainer Hugh Miles.
This is their second year at the Cutting Challenge, with Jo snagging a respectable third place last year. Greg’s diverse riding background — from stock work to show jumping, polocrosse, polo as well as building a business initially based on breaking & pre-training — has hopefully prepared him for most of what the cutting arena might throw his way. If he remembers the rules, stays in the saddle, and gets a sweet pony, he’ll be giving it a red-hot go.

Weanling fillies striking a pose.
Great to have Jamie Griffin back home from Ireland for a few days after completing his Irish National Stud course. Sunday afternoon was spent going around the weanlings together before he heads back to Yarraman Park Stud for another big season.
One of our 2023 season highlights has been the development and graduation of our Thoroughbred Breeders Australia Fast Track cadet Ashley Podolski. From the green girl from WA to the young woman on a promising career path we are so proud of her development and determination to keep learning and growing her skill set across a range of areas. Thank you to all the team on farm who have spent time and invested in her with us this year - particularly Mark Nevin for all his mentoring. Well done Ash!!
With the dams of recent stars like FIREBURN, KIMOCHI, FASHION LEGEND, KINTYRE etc. all sold out of Lime Country drafts in previous seasons, we think there's plenty of potential upside ahead for the 12 mares on offer this week at Inglis Come and view our full 2024 offering in D Barn!

It's the end of another huge year and as we getting ready to roll into Magic Millions '24, we've done a quick update video of the farm, the team, the year that was and toast a few of the best bits... #cheerstothat 🥂
What a watershed moment the Inglis Easter Sale has been for the farm. Three lots sold for one million or more, from only 10 offered. Those 10, included highest priced colt of the sale bred by Paul Jelfs at a price of $1.6M, knocked down, (finally) to the bid of Tom Magnier at Coolmore Australia Only 20 lots before Coolmore came in swinging and purchased our Lot 406 for $1M, a stunning colt bred by Michael Crismale The day before Sheamus Mills Bloodstock took home the girl everyone one wanted for$1.1M in Lot 101 of Graham & Linda Huddy's Peachester Lodge Thank you to our fantastic clients for the stella stock you have bred in this crop. Secondly, a huge thank you to all our buyers but a special shout out to Coolmore Australia who took home 20% of our draft - GOD BLESS THE IRISH!! Our four much loved fillies averaged $622,500: Lot 101 - Fastnet Rock filly $1,100,000 to Sheamus Mills Bloodstock Lot 241 - Written Tycoon filly $240,000 to A Koundouris Lot 243 - Exceed and Excel filly $500,000 to Graham & Linda Huddy Lot 409 - Snitzel filly $650,000 to Cambridge Stud Lime Country final Stats (3 or more sold): 100% Clearance 3rd by Average: $574,500 5th by Median: $380,000 8th by Aggregate: $5,745,000 Team at home the good stuff is coming, the team at the sales, you ROCKED IT, Inglis a good thing done well. Finally, thank you to Georgia & Jamie. All those missed school holidays, late nights and long working weekends, bless xx
What a fairytale! The sale of the Fastnet Rock ex Different To filly yesterday for the Huddy's Peachester Lodge to Sheamus Mills tied in so many threads for us. This filly's Gr.1 winning 1/2 sister MEDIA SENSATION was our highest priced yearling ever sold in NZ and at the time was the Huddy's highest priced yearling at $425k. Yesterday we sold this filly, her 1/2 sister, breaking the Huddy's earlier $1M highest sale after red hot competition around the ring for $1.1M, making her Lime Country Thoroughbreds & the Huddy's highest priced horse together again. As a final, boost and hopefully some extra good luck for the new owners, she was the very first foal born on our new farm.
Hear a bit of farm background chat from our Young Horse Handler Bruce Holmes, on what he has to say about our Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale colt Lot 149. This colt is one of only two by first season sire Pierata in the catalogue.
Looking to sell your mare at the upcoming Inglis or Magic Millions breeding sales? We currently have space for a number of mares at both sales and weanling spots for the Inglis sale. Don't be just one of a number - join us and give your mare the space to SHINE on the parade ground in 2023.

Inglis Easter, great horses, great times and great hospitality. Our shared hospitality pavilion on the grounds with good mates Kitchwin Hills has been dishing up some sensational Davena Speckle Park steak rolls over the past couple of evenings. Beef & beer and red wine, everyone feeling fine...
Hear from a couple of the team from back at the farm on which yearlings from out Inglis Easter draft they had a soft spot for - everyone's different!
