Training dogs and heifers all in one. Good way to spend the arvo plus these heifers have decided that when I come overbto their paddock now they come running as they know there is a food reward after young dog education.
First trainings are always untidy and especially with fresh/ excited dogs. The aim is to always improve. Every time you work a mob it should get easier as they learn to move straight off pressure through pressure and release. The cattle also learn to handle pressure when its applied and when you are working on this, the dogs also learn when to stop and back off.
I like to have a full tool bag (bark, bite, full force, back off, stop and sit there), and use as little as it takes. Those bulls know if they want to play up from day one, hell will be unleashed
Melissa Salmond has been keeping me updated with Nitro Black Betty's progress. She has a lot of confidence for a dog just over 12 months old. I am so pleased to see happy clients and a dog grow into its own.

Here is Nitro Black Betty having a go on fresh weaners. Plenty of promise on the little 12 month old pup she really wants to work. From the first litter by Belrieve Rick x Nomak Shelby
Dogs working their magic on weaners who werent happy about leaving mum. Pressure and release is the key. Always good to work a small mob to get dogs working with finer control. Takes a bit of magic making a sour weaner a happy weaner. #jacksonmyhelper
