A big thank you to a few of our lovely Boambee Gardens residents who have knitted some super funky bright sweaters for our kids. With the cold winter days and night we have been have here at RN LiveStock Rescue they have sure come I handy to keep our new borns nice and warm.

Thank you so much to all the residents at Boambee Gardens retirement village for the considerate gesture.

Louie came to RN Livestock Rescue with a condition called Stifle lock which is when a ligament gets caught out of place and goes back in position. This causes Louie no pain or trouble and lets him live a happy, pain free life. Louie has a small twitch in his back right leg and it can we fixed with some exercise.

Meet Louie, a beautiful Shelton Pony who arrived here at RN LiveStock Rescue today.

Louie was trust with RN LiveStock Rescue due to his own going through some personal situations, Louie was one of a few that unfortunately put to be put up for adoption after looking for a caring home to take on Louie and love him just the way they did they were getting short on options when they heard about RN Livestock Rescue through word of mouth. It is safe to sayLouie has settled in nicely with our big farm family.

Buddy, Catness and delta are our three beautiful rescue cats, the live freely wandering around the farm with all the other animals and they always know when it’s dinner time.

Let’s us introduce Pirate Queen (PQ). She is our 4 month old three legged goat. PQ was surrendered to us with a severely damaged rear right leg.

Which when taken to the Vet we shortly discovered that the only option to save PQ, was to unfortunately amputate her leg.

Please see below how she is recovering two weeks after her surgery. She is running around and play with all the other goats.

A bit about us, Nikkie, Ranga and Bree;
We have over 40 years of livestock and poultry experience and have always had a love of animals
During the huge Lismore floods in 2017, we rescued three heavily pregnant goats out of the flood waters. During this time we realised that there was no one around to rescue livestock and poultry.
After buying a farm we started rescuing any and all livestock or poultry that was in need.
During the New South Wales Bushfires of 2019/2020, we rescued over 50 goats, 4 sheep, 3 calves and a large number of chicken and turkeys. This made us decide to become the livestock rescue that was needed.
