We have had a huge and very generous donation of hand sanitizer and antibacterial surface spray. Only $2 each or any 6 for $10.

For scale the cans are the same size as a $9.50 can of glen 20.

Have you ever considered volunteering? We are currently looking for volunteers for our Bomaderry AWL NSW Op Shop.

Must be friendly and able to work as part of a team. We are an approved over 55 Centrelink volunteer charity.

We are looking for people willing to make a weekly 3 hourly commitment as well as volunteers to cover occasional days when our regular volunteers are sick or on holidays.

Did you know that the AWL NSW Op Shop is part of the same organisation you may have seen on TV in channel 10’s “The Dog House”?

That’s right. The funds we raise also go to helping dogs (and other companion animals) in need in the Shoalhaven. In fact we recently needed some help with a particularly difficult case and the fabulous staff you would know from the Dog house helped us out.

Little Ruby was surrendered to us paralysed from the waste down so we sent her to our kemps creek vets to have scans done to determine the extent of her injuries. Unfortunately her condition is not repairable but I’d just like to share this amazing update with everyone. Here she is on her first try in her new wheelchair built by the husband of one of the Kemps Creek vet nurses 💕. She has now been adopted and is living her best life 😊🐶

A good reminder. If you wouldn’t give it to a friend because of condition it won’t be able to be sold in an op shop.

We have been very lucky so far and the majority of our donations are in great condition so thank you to everyone for helping make our sorters job so much easier.

Not everything that is pre-loved can be re-loved 💚

🩳 Clothing and other textiles such as shoes, bedlinen and towels that can’t be reused, can be recycled via Council’s Recycling and Waste Depots.

Our OP Shop will be closing at 4pm on Friday 16th December 2022 and will reopen on Monday 16th January 2023

We will be taking a break to let our wonderful volunteers spend time with their families over Christmas and early January. We will also be taking the opportunity while most of our volunteers are away to do a bit of a spring clean ready to start off fresh ready for 2023.

Wishing everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year and thanking everyone for your support over the last 12 months.
